Great work. The top one is definatly the best in my opinion.

I do think that not all of your work is of that standard, and if you are looking for work as a concept artist, then I think you should consider taking some of it out of your portfolio.
My old designschool teacher told me once, you're better off showing 5 really good pieces, than 30 of varying quality. You allways get judged by your lowest quality work, and I find that to be true.

    Brilliant work man.

Really liked that step by step, and would be cool to see your process for those top environment pieces. Really riveting.

If you get your work in front of the right people, you shouldn't have to much of a problem finding a job. Your body of work is fantastic. Really like that you do a lot of work in greyscale too.

    Really good technical skills!

I think that you should put more thought and back story into you concepts though. I think alot of concept aritst nowadays lack the visual story that should be there and just go for cool looking shit.

I think that writing out some short stories and making concepts for them will yeild in much much more interesting things, and its alot more fun to do as well .

If we were to hire you, you would need to show some of the realistic environments and figure studies as well.
But what I see so far, you have some impressive skills under your hat.
    Kind regards,

I kinda like the first few environments. Although the transparent filters over the top are pretty obvious, and why are they there?

The rest is the same stuff as everything else in this industry. Armour to emphasise muscular features and "look tough" or something. No holdsters or anything to practially hold any of the 140 guns he'll be picking up. Or, is it stored in his bicep compartment?

I wish concept artists would design things that didn't look like everything else. I wish Marines looked like they actually would, and I wish it wasn't always "Marines VS Aliens!!". I wish sci-fi was based on actual technological development, and "industrial design" wasn't just a mashup of aesthetics. I wish monsters actually looked scary, and all the aliens that the marines are fighting weren't just the same slimy disgusting variation on digust as the rest.

It's not always the artist's fault, though. This generic stuff is what consumers want. So even if you did want to make unique stuff, you probably couldn't. On the other hand, this looks like it would fit right in.

I'm being harsh because I'm sick of stuff like this. I want more variation. So, I mean well. No hard feelings.
