    Biolantte Redesign

Hey there, i posted the godzilla redesign pics last night and here is the piece that goes along with it.

biolantte, stands about 3 feet tall. made out of super sculpey. cooked in a furnace and painted with an airbursh.

    also posted 2 process pics.

let me know what you guys think.

    take care.

Dude that is just sick!!! How much sculpey do you use on something that size? The detail on the lower half is just amazing! Can't wait to see them both together, and more of your work in the future.

Really amazing. Must have cost at least few hundred bucks for the sculpey alone...but money well spent.

Incredible. It has a dragon esk vibe to me, like a giant serpent, but made out of plants. Well done on both models!

Wow. And here I thought the Godzilla was amazing. pld:

Good lord dude, that is just too freakin' cool. Wow. Where are
you putting them when you're done? I'd imagine they're going to
take up a massive amount of space, especially if they're facing
off against one another. I'd love to see a pic of them once they're
all set up in their permanent home.

    Anyway, another incredible piece man.

    personal project for school.

it was a lot of fun, but i couldnt have done it without the help of my friend ernest, we pretty much thought up the concept and build the armature together and worked on it hard and long hours

thank you for the kind words

By the way, I'm a little curious, how many boxes of Sculpey (if it was Sculpey that you used?) did this creation take to make?

woo.. I like it so much, the effect of wood crust on the skin of the creature is great, and the brilliant color red inside of it ... reminds me to the damn tree in the movie Sleepy Hollow, but this is more alive and more terrifying. Good work!!

Hah hah, I'm just starting to dabble with sculpture, and from the few sites I've visited, that sounds like around 30 pounds, heh. At lest for the type I was looking at.

Great model, I absolutely love all the detail you put into it.

Wow, I'd be really tempted to buy it, but I'm not sure I can afford to put that kind of money on a sculpture atm considering the fact that I'm studying at the Uni... also shipping costs would probably be quite a lot with me living in Sweden. :p But it'd be gnarley having it in my room or something! xD whoever buys it will be a "lucky-cheese" (direct translation from a Swedish saying, haha, just wrote it cus' it sounds so funny in English :p). If I were you tho, I'd definately keep it! I'd be so proud of myself over it that I couldn't bare the thought of parting with it, lol. ^^ Is it maybe possible to do castings of it that you could sell, or is it too complicated with a sculpture of this calibur?

yeah i have issues with parting with it, but money is so tight, and i want to do other projects as well and blah i dunno.

but i know a casting would be pretty hard to do for sure, i dont even know if it is possible without cutting the sculpture into pieces but who knows. if i do manage to do it then i'll let you know

    Amazing creature.
Is it coming straight out your imagination or is it some kind of mythic best.
    Nice paint job BTW.
