I just created a Twitter account and I'm quite liking it; I wondered who's using it among CA.org users

It might be fun if you have interesting things to say, but telling everyone that you've been picking your nose on 4:20, 6:31 and 8:00 PM doesn't justify using such a tool. So it depends on what people have to say. I've yet to see a twitter user who's really worth it.
Where are the days when stalking was a challenge.
indenti.ca is better than twitter tbh
though I dont get the whole micro blogging thing, seems pointless to me ;]
I loves Twitter. I've said this elsewhere but, it's about letting casual friends into the small everyday rhythms of your life.
Pre Twitter MondayAM office conversation:
"Nice weekend?"
"Yes. Yours?"
"Great"
Post Twitter its more like, "Hey, how did X go?" Followed by talking about X,Y, and possibly Z.
And it seems to be doing great job of weaving friends from different aspects of my life together.
Link to my page is in my sig.
I have a Twitter account, but I don't use it all too frequently. I set it up mainly because I just find it a good place to vent / leave notes for myself / type junk when I'm bored. It's right here. Come to think of it, there isn't an art-related post on the thing. Probably because whenever art pops into my mind, I just draw instead.
There is one thing I find pretty cool to check on occasion: Twistori. Click on the words on the left and it displays relevant entries recently posted on Twitter. You don't see a whole lot of what random people have just done, but what people are thinking, which I find a heck of a lot more fascinating for some reason.

Yeah just came here to make a thread, glad I did a search.
I can understand the hate but if you find the right people to follow it can be really great, like a sort of more human version of an RSS feed.
As for posting things yourself, if you can get into the rythm of posting relevant and interesting things relating to yourself, it can be a really great tool for yourself as sort of a PR system for getting people interested in what you're doing. I need to fight the urge myself not to post about picking my nose or w/e, but I think it'll be good for the long run.
Anyway, feel free to follow: http://www.twitter.com/nimbusnacho

Recently, Biz Stone (co-founder of Twitter), was on The Colbert Report.
Watch it:

While interviewing Stone, Colbert posted a "tweet":

yeah i'm still "getting" twitter. It seems like a dumbed down facebook, but i hate facebook's over complex interface so twitter works for me.
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."
