hey demonique, keep us posted on that.. i had that hope to have a house full of just art students.. what a great environment to be in.
Hi,
Am just accepted into the upcoming Computer Animation program at Sheridan and wanted 2 get a lil additional info about the course and related stuff dats not mentioned in the website...like for example...do they have live sketching and does it delve into animation film making which am thoroughyl looking at. What about live sketching... Also to add that i have been working in the 3d field for the past 4 years....and want 2 know....if this is just basic fundamentals or more.....
these r couple of things n hope u guys help me out or guide me accordingly....
Thanks
there is life drawing available to all art students every night of the week.. if you were accepted into the one year computer animation program, then it's a post-grad diploma and i'm almost certain it would not be fundamentals.. i'm not an animation student but i've been at the school long enough to know some basics
I got my appeal letter back. I'M IN (barely)! They actually gave me more marks than I asked for!
I'll like to thank everyone who said it was possible to appeal. THANK YOU! I'm going insane right now!
EDIT: Made it tamer.

CONGRATS ALEX!! LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ROAMING THE HALLS THIS FALL!
Flash Jordan, that's an excellent question!
Do those getting in through appeals affect us on the waiting list? Just wondering.. I've been told I'm third on the waiting list and still haven't heard anything. Freaking out a little.

haha.. flash, about the hats.. you could probably go to class in underwear and a ski mask if you really felt the need.
when i was in first year, a guy showed up for a presentation in a mini skirt and a pink wig.. oh, how i love college
Hey, would any of you mind posting a link to your portfolios? I'd really like to see examples of accepted ones, especially stuff you included outside the drawing test component.
Flash, totally scored a sweet place 7 minutes walking time from Sheridan. rent is 350/month =D
Still on the search?
Did anyone had to write their language assessment yet? I'm gonna do mine sometime in July so I'm wandering how is it gonna be.
Btw what's the easiest/fastest way to get from Pearson airport to Oakville?
I've been looking for a place that's available starting Sep. 1. There is only so many available atm, I hope closer to the Fall there is going to be more choice.
Easiest and fastest is probably by Taxicab. You never said cheapest
Its generally a flat rate of about 50$ canadian, but I guess it depends on the driver. Should get you to oakville in about half an hour.
I think you can take a shuttlebus from the airport that makes stops in oakville, but I cant really say for sure (I've never taken it).
Other than that, theres regular TTC buses, in which you take the TTC to square one, and then from there transfer to another mississauga bus, and then transfer to an oakville bus. It's by far the cheapest, but the longest, and the most annoying.

What language assessment? I didn't have to do one![]()

Amazing Action Ape
Thx for explaining. Cab sounds like the best choice after all.
flash jordan
Good luck man! I hope you like writing essays.
And yeah language assessment is just for fundies.
No problem dude. I would look into a shuttle bus just to make sure. If there is one available they are either free, or like 20 bucks.

Just wrote it today. Was SO easy. 300 word essay (I'm pretty sure mine ended up being atleast 600.. oops heh) on two choices.. cops and panhandling or what skills you think you'll need for your future profession. Finished it in about 30mins, we had like an hourpretty sure I beasted it.
Thanks, amarryth. I was looking for illustration portfolios![]()
