Good Morning,
I am an assistant language teacher in Japan and I'm lucky enough to teach at an arts and crafts high school that focuses on woodworking and painting. Students come from all over Japan to attend my high school and they're all amazingly talented. The reason I'm bragging on my kids is that one of my students would like to go overseas for university and she wants to study wooden doll making. Myself, I'm more into illustration and photography so I know next to nothing about sculpture and 3D artwork which I'm assuming is the educational track she'll have to take, probably specializing in woodworking. I was hoping that someone here could recommend a school with a good sculpture/3D/woodworking program.
I've received recommendations for Emily Carr in Canada and poured over US News and Reports but that's not the same as an artist familiar with the program recommending it. She's not particular about where she studies, just that she wants to study outside of Japan. I would appreciate any help you could provide and thank you so much for your help!
