Good work so far. I like the contour life drawings at the end of your 1st post, very cool. You might want to start doing some anatomy studies and drawing more people from life to help make your characters look more realistic. (Im currently doing the same thing). Keep posting and getting better.

    Hey Cam,
sorry for the slow reply, I had to go out of town.
Cool to see you post some stuff! Out of interest, do you have any goal for the type skills you want to develop? Like, say, are you more interested in drawing from imagination or producing accurate life drawings? Any specific genres or styles? That sort of thing.

hmm at the moment im really just giving everything a go, i want to be able to illustrate from imagination, but ive been mainly workin with ref photos atm etc or live models, being able to accurately depict a person from a photo though is a fun skill, but i dnt want to get a job doin charactures! an style atm im really fallin in love with comics again which is weird but i really like the flow from very lil detail to super detailed you can get with it.

The "girl power" theme comes across quite well, was actually what I had in mind when looking at this. The hands proportions are decent but you should do some "metallic" studies (even though it's easy to tell she's holding a gun).

try looking up a book: "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards (also the workbook for it which you can buy seperately) and draw some faces after working through it. I've only just started but the book is amazingly helpful.

i think you should learn face proportions: for example between the two eyes there is the space of one eye, and then the eyes are at the middle of the faces, not so high as you did.

the last illustration is amazing, can't believe it you who made it, keep it up
