Self-alter Ego-centric-protrait (7 pics and counting...)

I ve been doing selfportraits for years....usually from memory
I ve been too lazy for years about copyng from life
I need to improve my colour knowledge....
I have seen this forum.....

now there is no way out.....I need to start my own list of selfportraits....lets see where they lead me, and how much I learn from it. I found the forum tonight, its 2.30 am and I am dying from tiredness...but I made my first one:
30 sleepy and slow minutes.

Hi people! So today is really my first SF, last night I was more like a zombie....now I see what I uploaded I feel embarrashed a little.
Well, here we go with my first "concius" sf. It was loooong ago since I tried to make a drawing from life.....and with tonal values......so it took me four times the time I expected.....2 hours and a half.(I wanted to get the face be mine as well, and I got too much into detail)
Lets see how goes the next one.

Well, Today I have some problems to focus on my commissions...so I felt like giving another try, I learned so much with the second that I felt the need to start another in the same day, so here we go!
This time I let my self flow more over the drawing without trying to render everything, and didnt pay so much attention to resemblance.But, curiously, I look a lot more like me in this one(former one I look ten years older) It took 40 min.

Today I didnt have much time, so I planned something quick: 15-20 min....finally it was 40 min...I need to be faster...

got some good stuff here. has an almost comic feel to it. maybe it's the frames your putting your work in? good stuff tho. it's fun to see everybody do them along side eachother

vIRUS: thanks, yeah, I guess the last one was more drawing than painted, and well, I cant scape from my eternal love: comics.
Today I didnt want to update, I was busy, but I got some brushes...and I found myself doing a portrait, FROM MEMORY this time: 10 minutes.

Today I decided to clean the dust of my pencils......but couldnt help but enhance the result with photoshop....As usual, the more the rendering(with mores supposed resemblance) the more mistakes I can identify. I post as well another I did last night, again just an excuse to experiment with new brushes and textures....not happy at all with the result.
