    Portfolio

This is my portfolio. The Elephant, Leopard Boy, and Bob Marley pieces were done from photo reference. All else is from life. I intend on transferring the hands onto canvas and painting them in oils.

is that a linoleum print of bob marley? where you have to carve all of the layers with a little knife? I remember doing that in high school, a whole week in the garage in 95 degree weather, carving away a 2x3 linoleum slab, doing 25 prints.

3 came out decent. waste of time.

Anyway, hands are super awesome and nice line quality. Hope you hear word soon from Ringling!

Equality: Thanks for stopping by man. The Marley was done in watercolor, in wash stages varying in value. Got my fingers crossed for sophomore placement lol

    Yo!
Really nice stuff, I expecially like your life drawings, the one in charcoal and white onte is really nice! Your illustrations are also very interesting, I like the enormous amount of detail, with the elephant being my favourite. Keep doing the studies and working on your shading. For the hair I think you should render it in masses, as you have done on the one in white conte, rather than each strand of hair. I also like the fruits (in color) but I think it needs more change in value, it´s very bright. Leopard boy is great!
    Keep it up!

    DoubleThink Thanks for stopping by.
Mumph Thanks for the reply dude, yeh I definitely need to break down hair into larger masses, gotta remember to simplify before I jump into details. And you are so right about the fruit, theres not enough dark values, makes it look unrealistic. Going to remember to really push the darks as well as the lights! Thank you!

Hey just looked through your work, your portfolio is nice, I believe if you were to show it to employers people etc you could narrow it down to about 12 really solid pieces.
The latest charcoal and white has a very interesting feel to it. :]

Pariano Thanks man, but I dont think employers would dig still life bullshit lmao, Ihavent had any time to do art in the past couple months which sucks, here is something I managed to get done in 15 minutes, it could be sooooooooooooooooooo much better and I know it. What am I doing typing?
