    Smile Mister Listers 18x24's+sktchbk

im new here, and I'm from sunny santa barbara, and I love to draw character menS!! I'm still learning the form, but I think i might be getting better... Im in the middle of applying for art colleges atm, and im feeling rushed, but i need to show you this. sheriously

figure drawings from life, and some idea's that i tried to pull from my mind without any references, (which i should be doing, but i hate stopping to look at what i need to be doing, its a problem of mine). ill move to coloring stuff soon. these are just some sketches i like, but i want them to be BETTYAR!

say whatever you want, point out my errors i HAVE NO SHAME! throw A BOOT!drawing from life was a lot easier than from my mind btw.
i hope i did this sketchbook thread thing correctly...

really nice here man love your characters. good line work as well, i like how its got that somewhat messy feel. all i can say is work more on your anatomy and maybe try to emphasize more contrast in your images by bringing out your darks/lights more and also try some more weighted line. also work more on your digis so you can eventually get them to the level of your pencils. good start keep it up.
To live is to create, to create is to live. Without art and music, I do not know how I would get by in my day to day life.

Great stuff! You seem to have a good grasp of form and perspective. You need to work more on the anatomy of the foot. Other than that keep it up!

This is some original stuff...which is a very big compliment. I can tell you really enjoy this. Keep up the drawing and look into some color theory for your digital painting. Right now you are drawing within color not painting with color...its a hard step to make and one I am in the middle of currently...try buying a color theory book or doing some over paintings of classic color theory works, you will be amazed what a little mixing can do for your work.

yeah im very afraid of color, ive worked with the line and form for most of my sad little 16 years of my life. so now its time to make the biggest step.. exactly what you said. btw heres some stuff ive been messin around with. i really really love pencil stuff, so going comp and wacom is almost too uncontrolled for the speed i want to go at. thanks!!11

btw, my im glad you mentioned that my stuff seems original, thats kinda my overall goal at the start of any piece that i make, i want it to have a twisted unfamiliar yet nostalgic feel to it. thanks for noticing that.
