    Hey there,

You're off to a good start. In the realms of photoshop and maybe also gimp, try to avoid using textures on single items, such as the drowess's boots. Such a regular texture can flatten out the drawing, even with shading on them. There are some awesome tutorials on making custom brushes and how to link in textures to pieces out there. You might like the custom brush function more, as it allows you to more finitely control where you happen to be seeing the strongest elements of the texture (such as in the highlighted areas).

Since you seem to love figure work, definitely take a look at Bridgeman and Loomis. I think the Bridgeman work is available as a free book online, which I think is linked over in the lounge area. You have a strong real media painting background, looks like. Nice moods and textures in those pieces, really like the last one with the two fairies in it.

    Kudos. Do more!

Thank you - the Drow was possibly my 1st of second dabble with photoshop many moons ago - and yes I agree the boots texture is flat.
The newer stuff is the blue face - my 1st play with GIMP and the second is a work in progress - one day I'll find time to finish it!
I shall have a look at the tutorials.

Great stuff, but you need to resize them.

Love the woman with the corset (3rd post, 1st image), it's very moody.

Like Fighting Seraph said though, you should resize them

Hi, nice start on your book. Was told you had started posting here by a friend on wow and came to have a look. I actually like the one with the fairies since it's a different style.

Thanks for stopping by my SB.
I love your fairy pictures and that watercolor is wonderful. I like the uh, bull thing with the axe at the very top. For the life of me, I can't remember the correct name for it. Keep up the good work, hope to see you in future CHOWs as well!

My only advice would be to whatch those proportions a little bit!
Believe me, I know how difficult it can be getting it right!

    See you around!
