I like how the wyrm's head is a lot smaller after a closer look. Quite a lot like how many insects and reptiles have bright colors to convey a much larger size than they are, its shape does the same. Not sure if you planned for that or not but it's a really nice result.

I'll pass on some advice I was given, even for quick sketches. Push your values! Deeper, brighter, richer, smoother!

Very good start here, keep it up and welcome!

CgMonkey: Hi there . I guess so, though havent been there for a while. Oh and ive decided to quit the education, im going for 2d for real now. And it feels great!

Gonna try to post some new stuff soon, ive jumped on a freeware/shareware game project a couple of days ago. A sidescroll, action game with some really cool ideas and a promising team, + i get alot of creative freedom so all is good.

Woah! You are crazy good with details, my friend, and the designs are very fun to look at. I think the Snapper Turtle character is a great idea! Maybe make some more based off of random animals/reptiles. Lol

Keep on drawing. Oh, and good luck finding a job!

FroZzt - what a GREAT choice! Too bad we didn't get any time exchanging ideas, you have a fascinating world inside your head.

Your last stuff is AMAZING. Your sense of organic shape is to envy! The transluscent skin on that slug is off the chart!

What I feel is lacking right now is proper use of lighting and shadows -- especially cast shadows and how effective they are at displaying form. Also your colors tend to get a bit "muddy" and I think it's because you don't actively think of seperation in terms of color temperature. Try experimenting with warm lights and cool shadows (or vice versa). Another attribute is the falloff of light, values can become less prominent if it's in a different angle to the light source, right now you have an overall value - more so on the turtle.

    C'est la vie mon ami!

SkytheArtist: Thank you so much , yea ive been trying to work on the design of characters/creatures over working with composition and making complete paints. Though i will probably post a finished painting later this year, doing some acrylics on canvas for my girlfriend. Thank you, i will keep drawing!

CgMonkey: Thanks m8, its not what i usually do but i thought id give something like that a try. I guess im just trying stuff out and mostly focusing on the designs, ill try to take some of that other stuff back aswell. Appreciate the crits, ill think about it..

Radio24: Thanks man! Although i dont always keep it clean... You'll see :p

Dranyer: Thanks dude, glad you like it!

I guess some of the stuff im doing in a couple of these images i do becouse i think thats what people want.. Not that my artwork is for pleasing someone else more than myself, i just need a JOB! lol. With that said i hope i get one soon so i can let loose and do weird things that noone appriciates! :p jk hopefully some does hehe

Like the image below, i did it a year ago for an exhibition, i think its still one of my better paintings, though i have a hard time believing it would give me a JOB.. Maybe im dead wrong, thats just prejudice of me i guess. :/

Nice to see you here, mate. Cool stuff too.
The 'mouth' on the tail of the snail kind of clashes with the rest of it in my opinion. Would be scarier with some disgusting mouth under it instead, with a short body. Just my two cents.
You caught the slimy look pretty good.

Oh and you should post lots of your old work too. The fun characters you did for the busstop project for example. So cute.

Izu: Hey m8! Yea i guess so, thats kind of the idea that the front looks kinda friendly and then suddenly it pulls up its ass against you with a big fat spike in it, but yea i get what you mean, it didnt really fit that well. Yea i could post some old stuff aswell, ill do it tomorrow or some other day.. Now i have something new to show . Thanks!!!

Here's a new creature, This creature is an amphibian, it uses its legs to crawl around on land and the bottom of the ocean. On land it also has nests in trees and high places. These nests are living organic beings with exits, or mouths which they use to spit these creatures across to another nest. the creature then catches its prey in air between the nests. All thoughts welcome!

You got good grasp on form and value so maybe experiment a bit with color.

This tutorial would help - http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=17837

Yes! These creature designs are coming along really well, especially with how you render their shine and implied wetness... yuck. Last update especially with those nodules and open sore-type things!

IanE: Thanks man, i enjoy doing them !

    Eerin: Thank you !

M4ze: Thanks, im glad you find them interesting.. You could give your oppinion, there doesnt need to be any right and wrongs really, even if i think you are wrong someone else probably think you are right . AND its very good practise to give critique, look at something and try to put into words what you like and what you dont like and figure out wy.. Thats my oppinion . So feel free to comment if you'd like, just dont say what you heard someone else say!

Here's some new work that ive been doing after i got my site done. Ive used another artist on this forums work for reference.. Just for some details and so that they hold the same tech's. Ill ask him if i can show his work... We are working on a project together. Anyway here goes.. All thoughts appriciated!

Hey. Thanks for posting in my sketchbook.

The last character looks really good. I like the shiny texture of metal. The high tech part on knee looks really cool too maybe beacause there are good proportions and hint of functionality.
I think the white smoke is a bit distracting and competes a bit with important elements of design. Maybe change it to something darker. Also visible part of her thigh looks a bit weird. This part of the leg has different structure. There's more straight line unless it's part of clothing design.

    Cheers.

FrozZT man! Have been searching for your sketchbook around here, and now I found it

Nice to see some more work from you. Your DW III entry was kickass! how did it go ?
I love the way you handle values, got any tip? I allways seem to have to high contrast between the light and dark areas, when I want a softer feeling like the aquatic humanoid.

    ha det gött!
