Vector Redux!

Wow love your stuff, especially the vector work.
The giraffe piece is still kind of hard to read after you tweaked it. It's really cute once I figured out what was going on, but it took me a minute. Maybe the giraffes in color against the b/w background? Or something else that makes it easier to read.

And, MyOrangeHat, for that project I could only use black, white and two tones of gray. We'll do them in color soon though. I'll be starting on the final today Well...maybe >.>

Alright! for that robot thing, I thought to do a family of robots! They'd all incorporate into the logo like the first one! That's the kid.

Also, I did a.... mad scientist time travelling villain who was framed for a crime she didn't commit but still remains quite fashion conscious... lol Well, all the circles are clocks... I'm just too gestural for it to read right x.x

Er... I actually worked on it a little... 'cos I'm pretty sure it was unreadable. Just compare it with the sketch above lol See if you can figure out where I get the actual forms from

Some nice styles going on here! A couple pictures that really caught my eye were the ghost story illo in charcoal, some intense mood there, and the initial sketch for newest one (I liked the looseness and expression on that one though the final rendering looks good too and certainly helps to read what's up with the arms). Keep them coming and draw some more hands too!

Thanks smuli! Er, yeah... my studies are all over the place lol but that's just how I draw 'em. I didn't get to do many hands, really... and I didn't mean for them to come out that way... but it's cool-lookin'! I think so, anyway. I'll do more later Also, some of the gestures are... me... and that made me feel kinda weird. And kinda awkward. Might be why I got a tummy ache halfway through lol

Mn... Very hungry! Also a bit sleepy... Anyway, these are the practice samples of this technique we're learning in class. Pretty much, you slather paint, then slather texture, then... slather a transparent color, do an underpainting, more slathering of transparency, and finally the real painting! I painted like twice before, though... so... yeah. That's what it is!

Wellp, you've got some really skinny cartoon peoples. And they're all awesome-looking. ^^ Make some fat ones too, just for fun. Push your comfort zones! Get out of them and try new things. I agree with Shardana, some really nice gestures here. Very fluid! I'm envious. Keep at it, draw! Do iiiit.

Like the rest of the guys, I really dig your style and your gestures. However, how about some anatomy studies? Try to get some of your anatomy studies as real as you see them. I think that would try to push you out of your comfort zone of cartoon/stylized drawings.

Also, I would like to see some environments or color studies. With your style of drawing I think THOSE would be pretty pimp!

Nice stuff! I think on some your colored stuff it's a little irritating that you use some black outlines (on te legs for example on the modle) but skip the outlining on other parts. I'd actually say ditch the outline altogether. You could go more saturated and dark on the shadows on the faces too.

Cute characters. Some more studies in pencil and paint please - when was finished with my studies the dudes in graphic design couldnt draw for shit but I could still design. Matybe search for Loomis "Creative Illustration" great read and all can be applied to design - wil make you UBER designer! Lets go!!

Ah, yes. I got it right before I submitted it. Even though I'm done with it for class, I'd still like to know what I should change about the hammer I might go back later and it'd help me with other things too!

At least I was wondering if you got the memo. ;P

that last design is a bit busy. Thors shirt and fur coat are similar in value and it makes the figure a little hard to read.

I think what would help the Thor design is making the actual runes on the hammer a darker shade to make the rest of it stand out.

UGH. Another almost all-nighter. It's almost 'cos if I do full all-nighters I get very sick... so I'm only kinda sick. Also, I put my hair up in cute pigtails to preserve my sanity Double also, I met psychotime just a little bit ago and it was funny~ and weird. And very brief But funny~

I knew thor had some issues with uh... readability... but I was too tired to deal. Might do later, also might make the yellow on the t-shirt/hat a little warmer, and perhaps yellow beard too? My friends want me to do something with that design and get them an actual shirt... but eh... it's not refined enough.

First one is a pie... blueberries... didn't have time to research them >< Anyway, it'll read better when I color it =.= It is for class... which is why there's crazy splotches everywhere. Teacher made us do it.


By the way... what does the first S in SSG stand for? I keep forgetting/thinking it's super.

I think you could do some studies of noses. They are not looking as good as the rest of the face.

I'll start more pen and ink stuff today probably... but it's just interesting thinking about how I hate using outlines in Illustrator but I really like them with traditional media. Well... Yeah.

Oooh! I found something really good! I was searching for mannequin examples to help out with gestures... 'cos I was too lazy to draw one >.>; However! My laziness paid off!

This one in particular is what I'd like you guys to look at. It shows the upper body mass, the tummy bit that can bend and twist, and the hips. When I draw I leave my tummy as just the line of the "spine" but as long as you have the torso separated into those 3 parts you'll get a better understanding about how the body moves Yay! I'll study it a bit too...
