Egg0- You just popped my double-digit page cherry! Thanks man, I really appreciate the encouragement. Hopefully it'll just keep getting better and better.

So, after my all-nighter last friday, I decided to get the wife and kids and get the hell out of the house for the weekend. Checked out my old uni, it has changed pretty drastically. I'll probably be moving back there in June. Psyched. Got back Sunday night and had to prep for my classes. Slammed with work the past two days. But I've been trying to keep up with my anatomy studies. Sorry for the shitty pencils. I'm trying to work on my lines in addition to legs. Pretty crappy so far.

I can see the end in sight for this one. I have Friday off so it's killin' time.

Whoa, I need to update regularly again. Anyways, I have a logo commission that is screwing up my personal work and studies atm. Hopefully, I should be done with that soon. I've got some near finished studies in the pipelines, so expect a bigger dump at some point.

But for now, lunch doodles from last Friday and yesterday.

Hey cklamb. What lovely work here. Great lunch doodles, lovely portrait of your son. In that piece, the chin seems a little long in relation to nose/forehead. But ofc I havent seen your son, maybe he just has a firm jaw. The anatomie, its good. But I think you could use some longer lines, and a few less. You can allways crosshatch later, but these studies are as good a place of any to practise line quality. Again, beatifull stuff and thank you for dropping me a word!

I have to agree with Jovian, that painting is phenomenal. As is everything in this goldmine of a sketchbook, haha. You're seriously an inspiration, man!

    Hello sir!
firstly thankyou so much for your envouragement and support. I have to guiltily admot I dont think Ive ever actually been into a private gallery, let alone displayed work in one but I should visit more, just today I was telling someone to visit museums alone more, so I should take my own advice! I dont think my stuff is really gallery fodder to be honest!
Ive missed a whole bunch of pages in your book which Im catching up with, and provisionally I have to say everything from around the post 245 zone is phenomenal.
This... wow, it would make an incredible environment.
Ive been reading a book about a future Africa after an alien biological package has hard landed on Mouth Kilimanjaro and is unfurling into a complex biomechanical jungle, and have been compiling imagery toward a picture, of coral reefs, brains, laval flows, rainforests, and colourscapes like this image; consider me inspired.

thegrayslayer- Thanks! The Three Brothers project is my brain child, so a lot of love is going into it.

Greip- Thanks for dropping a line, I hope to see you around!

TFsean- Dude! Thanks, that means a lot coming from someone so talented and driven!

ashess- Thanks for the crit! I think you're right about that chin.

Shadow Stalker-Thanks! Don't be stranger mang!

    JAB- Thanks dude!

    LastGen-Thanks!

Lux_Aeterna-Thanks, I'll be keeping up with you as well!

    Monsieur-Beefy-

Jovian M- LOL, man you dragged some of my undergrad stuff out. Yeah, that was one of my first observational pieces.

Art Minded- Thanks for the encouragement! It keeps me inspired!

Velocity Kendall- You should take a stroll into some private galleries for sure, you might be surprised at how your work could fit in one way or another if you chose to push it in that direction. BTW, that's an interesting idea about the colorscapes. Maybe I can use them as a basis for some of my commercial stuff.

Black Spot- Thanks, they are my love and joy. Life feels good.

So what the hell, a month and a half later, and finally an update! Gah! I've been busy wrapping up my stint here as a high school art teacher. Just trying to make the last week and a half. After that it's full time art for life! CAN'T WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIT!!!

So I finally had broke away from work and started a few sketches for my Three Brothers project. Rough stuff, but at least the ball is rolling again. Aside from some camping and a move to different town the next few months should be pretty busy.

Can't wait to start painting on these.

well that old painting is sweet as hell. I'd pay some bank for something like that. These Three Brothers pieces are coming along man. Concepts were looking sweet and I think these three paintings are gonna be pretty dope. I dig the pose in the last one a lot.

ThomasM- You know, I think you're referring to VC's post, but whatever he's talking about, it did sound pretty cool. Maybe he'll drop the title if he drops by.

Shadow Stalker- Thanks! Color was really difficult for me when I started out, so I really appreciate the compliment!

    Mark Tarisse- Thanks dude!

Black Spot- Yeah, me too. I really need to get out of my comfort zone, and that one is pushing me.

Kambei Shimada- Thanks for dropping a line!

Some updates and a few scribbles. I wish I would have started all my design sheets in color now. I started the new culture (red, black, and cream colored clothing) going directing into color and it was a lot more fun. Still have work to do on plenty, but I just want to keep the ball rolling as the ideas come. I've got a few traditional Master Studies in progress (Sargent, Rembrandt, and Holbein) that I hope to be posting up soon, along with some other design sheets I'm playing with.
