    ../+ se7en_kill book // updated Aug 2nd +/..

Here are a few concept sketches for my upcoming show at the iO gallery called Circus Freaks. Most of the pieces will be smaller and done in oils except for the continuation of my "Suicide" series which will be digital. The first image titled "Serenity" can be see on my website.

New website in progress // http://www.se7en.us.com

I will try and keep this updated with all of my WIP as shit goes down. Thanks for looking - feedback welcome.

Since I love drawing skulls, I'm already liking this thread.
Please post up some of the finished artwork.

Having abit of trouble working out what the Gods of The Old picture is. Hope it reads clearer in the final product.

Wow - thanks for the great feedback so far. Much appreciated : ) Here are a few color studies for the finals - just trying to get my lighting and colors down before I even touch the oil to board. Hopefully it will pay off and save me a lot of frustration down the road.

    7

Joker7 - Thanks. They are all symbolic of religious views that died with the rise of christianity up to the 11th Century and the time of the Templars. Ancestor worship, goddesses, earth itself, etc. All of the gods for all of these different cultures were converted to demons and holidays overwritten with new ones. The best marketing campaign of all time : ) The thing that is missing from the old beliefs is that death isn't permanent it's just a new beginning. Christianity makes us feel like we will be judge and sentenced and thats it. I really think most people now are afraid of death and we don't need to be. We should accept and think of it as simply a change of state. A cycle.

kelly x - haha, thx. Is there anything else in life besides you!?. Maybe a good PB&J sandwich : )

BadGeometry - Thanks man. I have always wished I could sketch shaky-hand style like Marko but I have gotten to the point where I am not going to fight it any more. It helps me see the dimensional form and hopefully the proportional mistakes before I go to far.

l0stinth0ughts - hahaha, there is plenty more coming up don't worry : ) I have a series of horror movie painting planned.

CamSyko - Thanks. I would definitely do Flash for tattoos but I prefer canvas that DOESN'T move ; ) Most of the skulls are representative of cultures symbology, except for the egyptian (which I might drop) and the carnival, who's artwork has contributed to tattoo artwork styles. I am trying to make the skulls look they were painted with tattoo style art.

SEVANS - Thanks! The Gods of the Old is based on a photo I found on the net of a goddess figure who had been plastered over. Now the wall is broken away to reveal her again. I am going to try and put a cross on the newer part of the wall to make the meaning more obvious.

Salacuis - haha, uuummm Brom... never heard of him ; ) He is and always has been my biggest influence artistically. Dark and so well painted its ridiculous. His clothing and settings are also way over the top. The anatomy and flesh are sick.

    * Kelly just bought me a Brom original for my birthday and it's getting framed right now : ) You Rock fucker *

chuck18mp, sjuskadur, Oblio, Hygami, Coinpurse - thanks!

I just watched part one of Android's fine art piece and tried some shit in Painter X. I suck and painter and I don't have a super cool symbol library built yet, so back to CS3 for my usual bag of tricks ; ) C&C welcome.

Wow! She is beautiful and sad - can't wait to see the series together - one crit on the stiffness of fingers it is a little distracting. The lighting is amazing and the surreal elements -- Love this piece. Now get to work on the fingers HA!
