Your drawings have a real density to them. What is it? I can't put my finger on it but I really like it.

Your contrast is beautiful in post #239; that self portrait is just downright great.

try buying a staedtler 0.7 with HB hodim I donno the word for it in english.
it's an super life long lasting mechanical pencil and the 0.7 gives you amazing detail but still covering a wider area, I'm doing most of my stuff with it, but I should and planning to move to pencil because that is the next level.

Hhhh...it will be really hard for me- i wanted to become a comic book artist so the 0.5 pencil was my ideal friend, now i want to come back to more realistic stuff so yeah maybe i"ll try some other pencils too.

About the density.... i dunno, you tell me, i just like to draw and i'm glad when other people actually like what i draw.
hhh....post 239 isn't a self portrait, i'm a guy and that girl...i dunno, just someone i thought of.

cool stuff as usual, I can't help but to think how much reference and anatomy lessons will do for you, too bad the army can't allow you too much time for that.

Thank you, i know you're right but i can't do a thing about it
i'm using some anatomy books to learn but you can't compare it to someone who goes to art school or takes pro. lessons....oh well.
I'ts my entry to the Riot Shell pinup contest, i"ll probably make another one, i just don't like how it looks right now.

Oh, and I was looking at her it seems like she's leaning on the wall, what would be really cool is her right arm going down and against the wall maybe touching the wall with the palm of her hand or maybe holding the sword but downwords, I think that will solve your issue.

really great updates Fallen~ Don't stress it if you're learning on your own and comparing to someone attending art school. Remember, there are a lot of great artists who are self-taught! :3 Keep up the studies man!

That's some pretty wicked improvement that you've got there. Now that you've gotten anatomy down, start working with the fluidity of your poses. Many of them look very stiff. Work with the angles of hips/shoulders and bending your character's spines. Just asking, but have you ever tried working with illustration pens? You might like it...
