Drawing Materials

I've been drawing and I can never get my drawings to be as clean and nice as I want. I've seen other works from others come out perfect. But I can never get that effect.

I was wondering for one is, does paper quality make a difference in the finished drawing. Or is copy paper just as good as any other. I haven't worked with many types.

Also I've seen some artist using "special shading markers". I have looked for them but haven't been able to find them at my local art supply stores.

What supplies do you recommend that I get and what materials do you use?

It all depends purely on what style you do, there is a big diffrence between a pencil sketch and a canvas oil painting. But as far as markers and the rest goes, heres a link to a couple of tutorials written by the great Feng Zhu himself: artbyfeng.com Go to the "how I Work" section. He gives you the complete rundown of what he uses, and If you dont know his stuff, let me tell you he is the very essence of "clean".
