Scetchbook: View the exhibitionist's stuff.
I've always been intrigued with the design of firearms, and just as fascinated with how they're modified for use in films or games. A great site with lots of useful pictures is the Internet Movie Firearms DataBase: http://www.imfdb.org
Like I said, lots of nicely detailed pictures as well as screen caps from hundreds and hundreds of TV shows, movies and video games.
I posted this in the creature topic as well, but I thought these macro photos of spiders might be really useful for robot design due to the way their bodies segment and their eyes and stuff.

True progress means matching the world to the vision in our heads.
But we always change the vision instead.

HaJime: Thank you for surprising the living bejesus out of me with that massive photo of a spider face! :/ lol
All sarcasm aside, I do want to thank you and the rest of the contributors to this thread. I have browsed this site for years, and am finally now really focusing on improving my art skills without going tens of thousands of dollars into debt.
Every time I go to post a thread about "Where can I find good anatomy reference?" or "Where can I find good mechanical reference?", I always end up finding a great thread that already addresses the issue. Everyone on here and the site itself continues to be a tremendous help for me.
Cheers! If anyone is interested in schematics/exploded views of aircraft, please let me know... I was telling a friend of mine (an airline mechanic) about my art studies, and he said he could probably get some good mechanical stuff relating to aircraft.
