I saw it, it wasn't fantastic, but it wasn't really terrible either

It was just your average forgettable summer cash-in film

There are some films not worth seeing in the cinema its better to rent them on dvd at home, and then there are films that are better to rent on dvd and have a few beers while watching.... Hancock seems to be a film that would be be enjoyable to watch after a few beers at home.

Not much of a film critic but I rather enjoyed Hancock. Wouldn't mind a sequel, but yeah I wouldn't pay good money to watch it on the silver screen.

i watched it this arvo (cheap tickets on tuesdays )

enjoyed it thoroughly. it had a few "eh" moments, but there were some genuinely good times, too. cinematography was good overall - i think it was handled quite well, especially in the ending sequences, where a lot of the storytelling relied on the actors' performance rather than any dialogue. had a twist i didnt see until it was too late, and normally i pick up on those things early on. knew something was up, but didnt put my finger on it before it actually happened. check it out fo sho

I was really disappointed by it..
The first 5 - 10 minutes was funny, then his drunken humor was gone. And I was praying the whole movie he'd get a better costume, because he looked ridiculous the whole time. Then the major plot twist comes and the story just got boring and sloppy.

    yup, thats about right.

I saw it and it was good, well filmed, well acted, good special effects. The plot on the other hand was lacking a certain je-ne-se-qua.

The plot changes dramatically as the story is being told...it reminded me of "Lost" the series....when you are like wtf? was that just a non-clever plot twist with nothing interesting to add to the story...yup.
Its confused as in what type of movie this is...one moment it has comedy moments and then the very next second it has tragic deep rooted dramatic moments. Childish immature humor followed by dramatic adult situations. Think- Leslie Nielsen just got done playing with the large chainsaw-dildo machine in the background then turns around to give the other character devastating tragic news "your wife is cheating on you, she has cancer, 3 days to live, and herpes".

    still buying the dvd tho

I saw it with some friends. Thank God we didn't pony up the full price coin to see this movie. It was alright at the very best. If you haven't seen this flick yet, it's okay to get at Blockbuster for a lazy Saturday but that's about it. It had a nice idea and then got really sappy. There were some serious stupid moments in it (the prison yard scene was over the top) that never helped it along. I thought Charlize Theron is a serious badass and hot as hell in this movie but then hell, I'd watch her peel potatoes for 10 hours if she'd do it.

    On a scale of 1-10, I'd spring a 6 for it.

I've heard the first half was promising, but it dies on it's arse, when it hits the second half.
