You've improved, greatly done self-portrait.
Hey sally! This looks awesome! Well done!![]()

Thanks Zerdron! Improving is the plan...got a long way to go!
Hey Nana! Thanks ^_^ I've been feeling I need to really get back to simple practice lately - which you're always so awesome at!
Was doing a herbalism swap on craftster, so did some illustrations inspired by my swap partner's favourite herbs (red hibiscus and rosehip) ^^
I think you have a lot of very charming paintings here, good work!
Lovely line work! These would make some great tea packaging!![]()
Sketchbook // Blog
@mike butkus - Thank you! That's encouraging, as charming is a word I would love to have associated with my work!
@applecheeks - aw man, tea packaging would be the sweetest gig ever! I need to convince a tea manufacturer to hire me...
Recent sketching at the Natural History museum...where the animals hold nice and still! ^_~
Sketch-cards on the train...
Thought I'd try and go for a finished piece from the second sketch mixing flat colour and painting...but I'm not sure the different elements are gelling. I think this sort of things needs more delicate linework...
I need to scan my sketchbook pages more often. In the meantime, pages from a couple of things I'm working on. I'm enjoying the one-colour thing I've been trying in the first comic.
good coloring , i think your animals are so realistic , you should try to color them . i hope we could see more of your drawings later .
On And On , I Am Cursed To Live Cursed With Life Until I Have Done What Done What Must Be Done . . . I Am The Man Who Would Not Die .

Wow! I love your sketches at #38! I'd love to see more of this stuff. Your linearts are looking smooth, very neat as well.
Your self portrait looks really nice, it shows that you've done a great progress at coloring! Keep up the good work!
LotusFleur - thank you, that's really encouraging! ^_^
raminafshari - thank you! I'm going to take that as an assignment and do some animal colour studies.
My in-laws' dogs (other sketches aren't uploading so will try again later):
cute dogs. nice stuff, i really like your illustrations (the "tea package stuff"). I'm lousy with that sort of bold design. The SP is really nice too as well as the animals and the girl on the stairs. I'd love to see more comic pages
Jason - thank you! I so enjoyed looking at your sketchbook. I'll have to post more comics then!
More sketches on my other computer, here's a very pink and girly pic coloured today (and comments on the colour choices are welcome, I think it's one of my weaker areas so I want to improve!)

The greatest achievement is selflessness.
The greatest worth is self-mastery.
The greatest quality is seeking to serve others.
Nice work, great clean lines and appealing designs^the wetherspoons scene came out awesome!
iceman - thank you! ^_^
monstertree - thanks, that's really encouraging!
Current WIP, one of a pair (the other is of the contraption she's examining) - will probably look on here for some colour advice! I definitely need to change the angle of those shelves.
This last one is looking really good so far. I love the magnifier, the scattered parts, and the instructions.
edit: Forgot to say the sketching about town post is great!
Thanks Jason, that's encouraging! As with all personal projects just gotta find the time to squish it in with all the other things - I definitely need to get that one (and its companion piece) done!
Some expression practice - I'm trying to learn to make my expressions a little "squishier" if that makes sense (more exaggerated?). Also a quicky doodle-break that turned into something I quite like - will probably do something with it.
Doing some sketching at a wedding on the weekend ^_^
Nice labels!!
and nice sketches! Looking forward for more![]()
Nice work! There's a big leap forward in quality since you started the sketchbook 2 years ago.I like your cleanly-inked pieces, the self-portrait at the top of this page and the comic pages. That pine cone is great as well. Keep with it!

Thanks guys! Vineris - it's definitely nice to have stuff in one place and be able to see that change over time!
A one-page poster-comic I just finished. I'm not totally happy with the colours, I still think it's one of my weaker areas, but that's what practice and experimenting are for! Any thoughts or tips in that area are very welcome! ^_^
