Hi guys, really struggling with this. been pushing and pulling around for hours
What am I doing wrong?
I think the intensity of light at the left is abit too much compared to the effect on the guys body. It seems as though your going for a strong contrast as well but you seem abit in the middle with it. Also whats with the whishy whooshy on the left shoulder (our right) try tighten that up as its hard to see if he is moving his shoulder really fast or if something is on it
Thanks Fiori - yeah, he's supposed to have a shoulder pad on, i've tried to tighten that up.
You're right about the light too. I played about with it a little and adjusted the colour balance slightly. I'm afraid of playing around too much - I can't make it look too worked, it's one of series of panels. I'm semi-happy with it I guess but what do you think?
Thank you for the crit
Thats looking alot better, I think the shoulder pads could do with a tad more work on (even though you dont want it all to be tightened up) because it just feels like they should have some reflection or specularity on them especially as you have made them pretty light, maybe continue what you have done with the light on the circular part for the rest of the shoulder.
One concern though with the difference in the pictures is that the 1st one seems to have abit mroe atmosphere to it, which I think is because of the hazy tones in both the background and the guy, which is lost abit in the 2nd. Maybe put another layer on top (clouds, or a gradiant layer?) or just grain the image. Its a nice piece though and im sure it would look great with the rest of the panels with it
