Well, It's been a while...I should kick myself for not updating in a long time...
Work pressure, the crappy global economic situation, buying a house in china ( at this time? am I freaking crazy?) , losing 25 lbs and then GAINING 40 lbs over a 5 month period(WTF?WTF?WTF!!!!!!!) and a lot of other issues got to me and affected me deeper than I would normally let them do...
And a funny thing happened, when i wasn't drawing or learning to improve..my other problems felt so much heavier, they were literally sucking the life out of me..
But when I finally forced myself out of stagnation and drew again..I felt more confident that I could deal with my problems better!
Toy companies are in trouble because of the global recession? No Problem! I'll draw a nice naked hottie and that thought doesn't even matter! Ha!
I'll make it through somehow! Just let me draw naked ladies in the meantime!

Anyway, first off, my thanks to everyone who dropped by!
    I do appreciate your comments!

shiNIN Thank you! Glad you liked the updates! Always looking forward to your visits!

5coop Ah yes...Cameltoes! Many a dark day in my life has been instantly brightened by spotting cameltoes!

Seage Glad I made you smile! You're right, my values need a lot of work!
( I mean in my paintings..)

Stolensky Thank you for dropping by! I love drawing the human form..though I really am not that good at it at present.

    kidult Will Do!

Robert B. I'll be rockin in the free world and the less free parts of it! Thanks!

a la bapsi you do? hehe...just kidding!

Okki Hey, I was wondering where you went...Glad you're back man!

dcriler Thanks for the motivation man! your comments motivated me to draw through my shitty situation!

MurdokX Yes, drawing is cathartic for me. I live in Shenzhen btw..

shamandalie Thanks! Glad I made you laugh!

Porg Anatomy studies are always worth the time and frustration to do!
    (especially female anatomy...bwahahaha!)

parascytheJack the mouse samurai! How are you man? How's your wife and baby?

candyminosa just scroll down sloooowly..hehehe! thanks for dropping by!

phoenicorn Ha! that's a bit risky man!

The Whistler the feet like you back! Thanks!

Fighting Seraph Yeah, I do need to broaden the range of things I draw..

Peetaer Nice to hear from you again dude!

GriNGO Will be dropping by your Sb ( and everyone else's) soon!

meduza Yeah, my values suck eggs. Any tips you might have for me are welcome. Going through your works, you definitely know values man. help kabayan!

R&F Me? forget the ladies? Never gonna happen man. Naked ladies are what got me into drawing in the first place!

crazy3Dman my favorite crazy guy! will be dropping by your Sb to see what wondrous works you've been doing!

Naomi Love you right back! BTW..what happened to your Sb? I miss it a lot!

darkenuf Thanks man! though I feel I'm not nearly angryenuf! hehe..

Ronald Liu Whoah! another keen eyed guy! You spotted Juno through my crappy sketches! Thanks for dropping by!

    Okay, now onto the updates:

Nice update. I REALLY like this one

And the guy with the smoke stacks on his back is cool too. I'd love to see you take that one further.

I hear you about dealing with the economy. Hang in there. And keep going with the drawing therapy. Can't wait to see more.

sup Angry Filp, you've got some really great character ideas, also i really like how you push the image to a more finished piece! Only crit is that i think in a lot of your finished or close to finished stuff could use some more contrasting values, it seems like you are good at getting mid value range which i think is the hardest, just need a touch of darker richer shadows and brighter highlights (or hotspots)

i'm digging you're traditional sketches, i really envy people who utilize hatching and something i could never grasp!

oh also LOL those pre-production dolls are just too funny!

crazy3Dman Nice to be back! Glad you liked that piece, she's actually my favorite japanese "actress"..cough.. and here's hoping for the best for everyone this 2009..Memo to Global economy: Please get well baby!

Peetaer As long as their are naked ladies to be drawn, I will definitely keep on rockin'!

Jonish Glad I was able to remind you!!!!

shamandalie They are? Damn..don't know how I can survive those 4 days then...It would be wonderful if we could hang out, I'm going with my wife and an all chinese tour group..so I am dreading those yucky tour caps and shirts they'll probably make us wear...not to mention those stupid looking flags the tour guide waves..

FastArt Will do man! will do!

towy Thanks for dropping by! your SB rocks!

snootchy Thanks for the comments. Working with Pantone colors all the time seems to have conditioned me to avoid going for those dark darks and light lights..something I really need to work on. My crosshatching is a perfect example of how not to do it...

JailhouseRock2 hmmm..a lot of people like the spikes..lol
    Thanks for dropping by man!

Okay, here's some stuff from work..just the initial idea sketches before I redrew them in a more technical manner...

The tombstones are cool. That would be a cool community activity for ConceptArt.org. Have everybody design their own tombstone. I bet we'd see some pretty wild tombstones.

zalxemptyx I had a wondeful ( albeit short) time in Singapore. It's such a nice place with so many ethnicities ...it's like a colonial version of Hongkong..with its own charm..I tried talking to some people to see if they'd talk to me in singlish but no luck...maybe next time..
spaztastic thanks for dropping by! and I am not by any means an expert, or even mildy good at skintones..
phoenicorn I use photoshop for now, though I'd love to study illustrator and some 3d stuff
kingkostas Thanks for dropping by too!
