Awesome sketchbook. Great studies of the *cough* female form. thanks for posting your hand studies because I feel I have gained from them (realy struggleing with hands at the moment). Anyway keep up the good work.

Gilead I am really glad you dropped by! Glad you liked the naughty teddies! Seriously, the girls in your SB are really getting way hot! Really looking forward to your next post.

KellyX Glad you finally saw the monster porn! lol!
Holy Cr#p, I got stars? when did that happen?
    Feels pretty cool! Thanks!

crazy3Dman Thanks for the encouragement and the helpful
tip. I'll stop crying and get up from the corner now..

thrilafrommanila whoah..first I get stars now you actually subscribed to
my SB? I feel like I'm in the twilight zone right now.
Salamat din po sa pagpasyal dito!

Jonish I agree with your comments. I really need to work on my
coloring skills..well...on all my skills actually. Thanks!

BubbaGump GrRRRR! AAARRRRHHH! Thanks for dropping by,
I actually love doing anatomy studies, problem is
when I stop doing them, I seem to forget everything..
and it shows in the art.

Robyn Graves would it help if I said that "that invisible bra is actually
my invisible pair of hands supporting her boobies"
You are right though, breasts always have a way of
giving me a lot of trouble ( both in drawing and in actual
life, yep, breasts have gotten me into a lot of trouble.
    "sigh")

parascythejack Thanks! glad you dropped by! Maraming pinoy dito
    sa CA,Nagtatago lang siguro. hehe.
On page 1 and 2 of this SB you'll
find some cool pinoys..and thrila is
    Pinay I believe.

phoenicorn Thanks dude! Glad you learned from the hand studies.
I probably need to do more of those since I forgot
what i learned already. So I gotta study boobs and hands,
    those go well together anyway!

Wow, thanks for the comments guys and girls!
    Really appreciate them.

I was pissed off at work today so I sneakily decided not to draw any work related stuff! Just doodled around all day!
( fat chance my boss is reading this, but if you are, I'm only joking ok?)

I played around with the piece I posted yesterday, and some random sketches that I practiced painting , brushes and textures on:
Pin up related stuff starting tomorrow!

Thanks for commenting on my SB, and I'm surprized that this site lets you do all that racy stuff (e.g. The monster sex, the teddy bear girl, etc.).

newman Thanks for dropping by! I look up to the way you draw babes!
As for the lumpy mermaid..I was just playing around..lol..

parascytheJack one thing that endears fellow filipino artists to my heart
is the fact they (we) carry on..despite being from a corruption riddled, thirdworld
nation where making a living doing art literally means one can starve to death.
Where basic art materials taken for granted in more developed countries actually cost more than a hospital check up..inspite of all these very real
hindrances, Filipinos ( and Filipinas of course) continue to march on,
keeping the flame of Filipino artistry alive.
The more I think about it, the art of the Filipino's lies not in their
published or celebrated works..it is in their hearts.
( Tagalog: Pre, may thread na yung mga pinoy dito, kaso di yata naging active..)
FightingSeraph Hah! if you think my stuff is racy..wait till you see what the other guys and girls have been doing here on CA! Thanks for dropping by!

Ok, a practice run on a WIP I want to finish sometime this century..
and some more playing around with that creature turned gargoyle..
    no ref used for both...

i couldn't agree more...I even saw on tv years back a filipino artist with no hands but uses his mouth to hold his paintbrush to paint...man his art is real good...(tagalog: si maui taylor ba yung bago mong sketch? hehehe...sayang naman namatay yung thread ng noypi..dinagdag na pla kita sa sub list ko pre)

The gargoyle looks okay, but by really thinking about and feeling the gesture you can take it up several notches. There's this rise occurring through the acute triangle shape of the wings, feel like they need more space and are being cramped in by the edges of the picture. Look at some videos of birds spreading their wings, see it in person if you can, even with small birds it's pretty dramatic, look at videos of body builders doing lat spreads. I'm looking at how he's got his arms flexed, seems like he should be leaning forward about to take off, seems like there should be more tension moving up into the shoulders, as he supports his weight through his arms. I like the design on the right a little better because the face is less humanoid, it looks less familiar so it looks more monstrous.

parascythejack You think she looks like Maui? Funny, I didn't use any photo ref for that piece. The more I work on her, the more her face keeps changing. ( kontakin mo yung ibang pino dito, baka interested silang buhayin yung thread..balitaan mo ako, dapat tulungan natin isa't isa na mag-improve.)

armando I agree with your points, the problem I have is that, as a product designer, I have to draw everyday in a way that would be most practical and cost effective for the factory..hence the "stiffness" of my
art..the wings have to be small and "locked in" a certain area for cheap
molding etc..subconsciously this thinking bleeds into my non product related art. Which is why I need to hang around CA, to take this " product design" element out of my illustration pieces and give them more life and make them more dynamic. Thanks for dropping by!

dcriler thanks for the kind words! As for advice.. Keep drawing, thats the best advice for everyone. ( me included)

ok, a couple of pieces to post..
one's a crappy sketch of rats I did this morning to loosen up before work,
and the other's me playing around with my latest WIP.

Thank's for dropping by guys! Hopefully I will get better..

oh how i love the subscription! if i didn't have it i would've missed out on these new pieces! love the piece with the mice, it's really funny

with the girl, i don't know but i think you should work on the chest. i read that you didn't use a reference, maybe take a look at one and compare (might be fun ) i'm not sure, they just seem a little high for me, kind of like they are implants. but i might just be full of it, i'm not sure

    Nice sketches!
I lived in Leyte for a year and a half, and I noticed even people who had never been to a museum or studied anything related to art, had this natural artistic feeling. Well, maybe it was because comics were really popular, or just because you, filipinos, are born that way.
    In any case, good job!

dude!!! i'll try to contact them next time i'll be reinstalling my operating system...i happen to get an winxp pro sp3 black edition..so i'm excited to install it...by the way..even if i contacted them i haven't seen the pinoy thread or are we going to create a new one? and in what forum? maybe you could help me with the names..i think your "the angry filipino thread" magnets all the pinoys out here...(tagalog: tlga!!! walang copyahan? bka nasa isip mo c maui? hehehe joke! gawa kaya tayo ng mga concept characters na maharlika warriors nung mga time ng datu...just a tribute to those who oppose the spanish...if you know arnis..imagine them using swords (kris) instead of the arnis sticks...thats why the spanish had a hard time conquering Philippines not until they use guns against our forefathers)

    its time to reboot!!!!

I love how you illustrate sexuality in your art. Sex by itself is nothing without a huge dosage of imagination. The "playing with toys" drawing blown me away. I am definitely a fan. There are not enough Sexual artists out there, and it is a really a pity . It is 2008 and still sex is a taboo and unethical.

Whoah! thanks for all the visits Guys and Girls! Feels really nice to have people drop by here.

tayete Thank you for your kind words! Hope you liked Leyte, though I have never been there myself..I stick to the north where the weather is cooler..
I tend to melt in warm weather...
parascythejackthat's a good idea, let me know if the other pinoys wanna do it. We can come up with another thread name though..dont think all filipinos are angry..lol! (and yes, walang ref yun, kaya nga ang hirap ayusin nang mukha niya...)
peetaer Thanks man! I didn't go to an international school, I did go to highschool that was right outside the gates of an international school though..and come "back to school" days the guys in my school would all line up and just gawk at the hot chicks being driven in their fancy cars to the bigger school...good times!
decaying lolita your user name in itself would make a great idea for a
pin up! thanks for dropping by!
moonstonestreet I think thrilla is pinay..and yes..CA rocks!
I think there are a lot of Filipinos lurking here..some are friendly, some are
snobs..some are bound to be assholes...parascythejack wants to make a new
thread for the friendly ones...waddaya say?
Redfrog Hey! a fellow toy designer! nice of you to drop by!
I saw a thread you made over at core77, your scanmasters rock!
5coop glad you liked the figure studies..I need to do a lot more..
so many mistakes in what i do so far..Thanks!
kilon " there are not enough Sexual artists out there" I couldn't agree more! Thank you! There are some good people here on CA who really do great
sexy art! ( not me, but look around, you'll find them)
crazy3Dman thanks! and thank you for continously visiting my Sb man,
    I really appreciate it!

ok, now to post some "art"..
some quick figure sketches, a self portrait and the pin up practice I've been doing..I used a couple of earlier posts as posters in the background..
just seemed to make sense to me..and the fact that I had no idea what to do anymore with her background...need to study more..

    crits always welcome...

oh, new babes, great! oh, and nice anatomy studies, of course.
I'm always here watching the new stuff, I just hadn't too much to say and didn't want to create "I still like your work" posts...
I'm in my "okay, I did a few thousands poses and some anatomy studies, I really want to draw (copied) hot babes already" period, but it's not so easy I continue my studies and watch eagerly the sexy girl stuff I can see

the girl with the pink toy has a nice, innocent, cheerful face, every time I see her, I'm smiling, I can't help it
I like the self portrait too, well, the teeth positions are strange a bit, that's an angular jaw, it seems
