i was just wondering, if anybody knows of any big concept artists that are really talented, and have worked for big names, that also started out in the U.K like they grew up in the U.K, and now have made it big?

Dermot Power(Irish), Dave Mckean, Simon Bisley, Greg Staples, Jim Murray, Robert Bliss(hard to find his work, but one of the most talented artists around, working in film concept design.) Kev Walker. Lots of these guys have started off in the comic industry and moved into different areas. I think comics are particularly useful from a concept art point of view as you have to draw everything in the story.

Dan Conway... www.artofconway.com i think... has done work for the games industry and the music industy from what i can gather. but his work is amazing. Hes been added on Corel's Painter site as a Master Painter.
