    My Eizo monitor, need help

    Hi guys...

I have a Eizo S2411W Monitor at home and I recently decided to start working alittle at home but have no Wacom tablet in that dimensions. So I figured I´d buy a Cintiq 12wx and use it as a tablet And the OnScreen-drawing.. But 12" seems alittle small.

But that´s not the problem, sorry

    Here it is!

My screen has really Terrible Banding issues with greyscale and when I change Hue in Phonoshop the colors blend in a really strange way. The Eizo Flexscan S2000 I use at work feels perfect when I use them and I see little to no Banding (borders) between shades on it.

Does anyone here have experiance with the S2411W monitor? Am I doomed to have a crappy monitor that cost me a fortune, or am I missing some crucial setting?

Hmh, some colleagues of mine used this one and were content for a non-hardware calibratable monitor ... Did you at least basically calibrate it?

Anpther possibility: with my LaCie you can change the setting for the planned use - like Video, DTP, 3D etc. Maybe your setting is wrong?

Last thing is - your monitor could be broken. Could be possible, too. Beside problems with the graphic card.

In this price range I´d be gone for the CE210W anyway but I suppose it´s too late for it now

I have the same problem with mine but when I connect both the LCD and Analog monitors both have some banding, the banding on the CRT display is mild but still there on grays there's less banding and more dithering while on the LCD (PVA) there's no dithering but slight banding, from what I've read the problem is with some video cards.
