Thanks! I just want to add text to everything, haha - it's gonna become (already is) a bad habit.

    Speaking of too much text...

Hehe, that idea with faces of meth is brilliant. I love your sketchbook overall and specifically your linework. Do you have any tips on how to improve linework. Or maybe you want to share what your thoughts are, when you lay out your lines? That would be awesome.
    Great stuff!

embee: Thanks! I'm not sure I can offer much in the way of advice re: linework, but I can try to explain how I work with lines? Digitally as I'm sure y'all can tell from the sketches in here it's a pretty messy free-for-all when I'm laying out the initial lines. When it comes time to refine I just try to lay the strokes down confidently (there's a lot of undoing and trying again multiple (too many) times) until the line looks right. Sometimes it helps to zoom in pretty close and go slow if I'm trying to outline something and I'm having trouble getting the line uniform in weight. With the traditional penwork I just try to be as confident and fluid as I can, but I'm still trying to improve my confidence with it.

Hedwig's all done. (Yikes @ those sequins.) For reference here is the song I lifted the text from:

Thanks for the advices on line-quality. They seem somehow contradictory though I try going for the fluid approach currently, as i am working solely tradional. For this i do quick sketches (ForScience wrote me an advice on this into my sketchbook). Seems to work well, but i have to force myself to keep fluid also when i have a lot of time...

Anyways: I really like your whole style. Especially your lines and choice of colors!

Btw: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a great movie, i liked it, altough it was a liiittle strange. And i also wonder, what your profession is. Do you do something graphics-related?
