Decided to do something fun and, well... POPPY. I wanted to stick to using primary colors, but I am open to ideas. Not sure about shading or tinting this one, so please give me any comments or crits.

Looks like her shoulders are sagging a bit. I think they should be slightly more angular, sort of perpendicular to her neck. Also I don't think the folds in the shirt on the shoulders really need to be there. I like the overall style of it though. As for shading...maybe just some simple cell shading or something? It'd go well with the pop-y feel you have going here.
Good point on the shoulder. I should mention that this thing was on 11" x 17" paper and it was hard for my brain to basically process seeing the whole image on the page. Good point on the coloring, too, thanks!
I like how her left pigtail looks, but I'm not so fond of the right one. It feels jarring to me because compared to one another they don't even look like the same thing- the left one seems smooth and contained but the right one is kind of unnatrually shaped. You might have been going for that tho? If so, ignore my comment.
Also I think those are headphones? I would suggest getting a headphone reference and using that! I always find that cartoony styled people look really interesting with well rendered realistic accessories.
I agree with Cherri:
while the hair looks great overall, the right pigtail looks too "clumpy" almost like a dreadlock. The left one is more on-the-money.
The idea was that the girl was just an air-head and just kinda put her hair in pigtails, but if it's really distracting, I'll fix it.![]()
