    Vehicle Design 03

    Hey errbody!

I thought I'd post up some of my vehicle design stuff to coincide with the release of my new download, the third part in the 4-part vehicle design series.

    http://store.payloadz.com/go?id=148319

This third video covers refinement of the Sketchup model then design of the ortho in Photoshop. The first covers thumbnail generation and the second is rough model + rough sketchup block-in modeling.

I apologize for the repost for those of you who have seen this material before so for kicks I threw in some newer screen shots of an Infantry Fighting Vehicle I'm working. Sketchup rules for this sort of experimentation and design with hard-surface concepts. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in tech-design but lacking in experience with 3d softwares

    http://sketchup.google.com/

best part is it's free, try it out!

I'll post more models and various stuffs in this thread soon. Thanks fer lookin'

very nice gimmicks within the design. the only crit i have is that the overall shape is not really too exciting. but i think, that was on purpose.

    Hi Kemp.

I just wanted to drop by here quickly and say thanks a lot for taking the time and doing these tutorials. I recently got parts 1 and 2 and have both enjoyed and learned from them quite a lot. Those are some pretty cool designs and really nice presentations you got there. Looking forward to getting parts 3 & 4.

    Thanks again.

I love you. Great stuff man, not that you need to hear that. Are you using the free Sketchup to render, or did you buy the full tool? Just curious.

    Keep making movie's they're awesome.
