    transformers concept - wheeljack

wheeljack is one of my favourite character in transformers.
it took me 3 days to complete it.
    from concept sketch to modelling.
i done lot of sketch before final the concept design.

this concept piece is part of my very exciting process.
it took me a time to sturdy of a robot anatomy.
how it transform to robot and back.

more into structure, visual and form.

it is one of my concept art collection for transformers projects.
like usual, my style is more to black & white.
    marker effect rendering.

and it is one of my favourite dream car when it convert to vehicle mode.

    Fantastic! I love Wheeljack.

Are you, by any chance, going to animate a transformation sequence?

well, here is the car mode of my wheeljack concept.
as i mention before, it is one of my dream car.
    it keep drooling me....
i want to try keep the origin of wheeljack ( posh mode ) but it just happen
that i really want to try out something mean and fast muscle car with a cool style..

i want to keep track of the movie version concept.
sort of something new and hybrid.
i love the battle mode pose.

maybe i will animate the transformation.
but not one maybe few of them in battle scene.

Man lots of insain detail in this! My only crits are that the mid section or trunk of the body feel way too short and the arms branch out way to far on the robots sides. It kind of makes it feel unbalanced.

    thank you everyone.

    @ robert. b
thanks for the info notice, but the real problems is just like the toys or the
transformer movie. that is some part is off balance or not proper proportion due to limited parts/sizes of the robot body structure.
it have to maintain to transformable.
most of the transformer toys (movie line) is highly recognise from the movie.
most of the robot part in the movie is cg edited, it mean not truely in real transformable. it purposely done coz of the impact image character.
to make it real more balance proportion.

    @ lotet, lilalex, madm4tt

normal render?... hmm... maybe but i have to finish some of the project works first. i think i will use vray to render it.
but most of my concept art are in 3d and black & white.
it give me more visual and imagination field.

    once again thank you everyone.
