Hi everyone.

I'm deeply distressed by the current state of my art. Like, it's all I can do not to go at my right hand with a hammer frustrated. I could really use some comments and peers to shame me into improving. Please be as harsh as you possibly can- I'm already braced for impact.

I have an obscene amount of free time and would like to make comics in the future. While I took art in high school, my teacher kind of really didn't believe in teaching us how to do things, so I kind of have no idea wtf I'm doing. I'm not in college and am starting to doubt that that will ever be a possibility. I've fallen back into my 6th grade habit of pressing down waaay too hard and making waaay too many strokes. I'm probably writing waaay too much.

Hey man, dont be so hard on your self. Your stuff is not bad, it isnt the best of course, but it is not bad. Just use a good portion of your free time drawing, and you will do good. Do alot of drawing from observation and watch your proportions and perspective. If you keep it up you can get to where you want to be

Thanks! I've been slowly trying to increase the time I spend actually drawing. I'll totally give some more focus on proportions and perspective when I do.

And ha, being really hard on myself is an old, bad habit. Didn't realize I was doing it. I think now it's mostly because I find this place really intimidating and I really want to learn and improve. Thanks for the encouragement, though!
