This is the new VOTING thread for the CARNIVOROUS PLANT SUPER STYLISED CHALLENGE!!

IMPORTANT: Now has come the time for the following artists to post their fantastic final images in this very thread.

800 or 1024 sized images are fine for this stage (but high-res versions are good for 2DArtist magazine!)

Please post all entries in THIS THREAD before 8th June 2008 10:30AM GMT.
Only entries posted in the 'May 2008 - Carnivorous Plant! - VOTING!' thread before this date will be eligible for Voting!

Voting will then start immediately afterwards and will run until 15th June 2008 10:30AM GMT.

We will post to commence the Voting on the 8th June. Voting will be the same as last month, with each voter putting forward their top 3 entries, in order: 3pts for a 1st place, 2pts for 2nd, and 1pt for 3rd. This means that we will all have to choose very carefully!

Please feel free to give reasons for your selection, as it will be good feedback for everyone!

Rather then illustrating the viscous nature of the carnivorous plant, I have tried to emphasis the seducing nature of the plant that lures its prey to its end.
And when it comes to seducing power the best example to compare with, I thought would be female.

1- Locito : Great idea, komposition.. And funny expression of the pandas.. Great..
2-Trashy: Dark and funny.. The background is cool..
3- Gigsmella: Great work you did.. Hard compoosition..

Tommoy, you did a great work too.. But I couldnt categorise your work in the first 3.. Sorry.. But funny work..

1: Gigsmella, Great storytelling and detailing. Colors are great. Love the little red critter down bellow. Only crit would be the lack of a focus point, the eye wanders endlessly.
2: Locito, cool concept, nicely rendered. I have some bamboo in my garden, hey, where is the dog?
3: Freakdesign, well chosen name, great use of textures and the fact there's water instead of blood.

1: locito - i've just loved this concept right from the start - amazing stuff! very cute, yet disturbing... love it!

2: freakdesign - i love how far you've pushed this one and yet the brief is still so clear. great work and eye-catching design - nicely done!

3: trashy: i really like the style and atmoshpere of this piece - another great creation!

Hey guys,

Cool work everyone! It was a real blast!

1. freakdesign -Very sweet stylistic approach and that little pottern plant with the tiny skull is sweet! Really full of neat little things that keep me looking.
2. gigsmella- Almost has a fairytale look to it. This is something I could really see in some kind of storybook. You really put alot of work into to this and it's a very fun piece to boot.Tommoy mentioned it, if you popped out more of a focal point or focus point it would rock even more.
3. Tommoy- Nice touch with the fork and knives. Very funny little piece and great expressions on those plants.

Lots of good variety in this theme I'm going to try throwing together some comments when at home

Tommoy - Love the concept and style of the piece, and how the focus is directed at the poor fly who's going to become dinner.
Trashy - Really like the dark look of this while the piece still retains a nice feel to it. Also like the different textures.
locito - Original idea, the bamboo plant is great! Love the expression.
