OOh, nice use of color and light, you have a few issues with perspective but hey, dont we all! Oh, welcome to the forums![]()

Wow, man. I must say I'm impressed. It's a fantastic start and by the looks of it you'll only get better. Congratulations on fantastic sketches! I don't think I'll ever be able to draw such realistic looking pics.
Check out my Cartooning Sketchbook! 150 Original Pokemon Work in Progress AND A JUST ADDED WEBCOMIC! CRITS PLEASE!
Practice, practice, practice my friend and you will get there!

Oh yeah I remember seeing some of this on deviantart a week or so ago.
Remember me? I'm the one who mentioned that the perspective on that gun is a little wacky.
Anyway... the first image is great and I really like the city enviro and the brush testing enviro.
Pretty good all around, keep it up.
Hey xenomorph!
I see the influence od AndreeWallin and Samsonscreaper in your works..and naturally the Barontieri brushes... really enjoyin' the #1 and #4- keep it up!
Cheers!
Gonna call it good on this one and move on to something else. Had fun drawing the armor. Used a few good refs. Hope to do this theme a bit better next time.....thanks for looking! C&C very welcome.

Was wondering if anyone could help me with how to change my post avatar. Read the help section and everything. Nothing...does not seem to be working...arrrgh!!!!!
ARRRGHHHH! hate to be annoying but I still cannot change my "post" avatar for some reason. Any suggestions?
I am a fan. Great start you have here.
Personally, if you're looking to fix the anatomy, I recommend doing studies from books from people like Loomis.
You gotta delete all your other posts and put the image you want first in the attachments, I dont think there is any other way of putting an image first. Cool dylan cole environment, should work on tightening those shapes up, everything looks transparent.
ninjacat11 - Thanks for the compliment and I will look into that for reference.
Peter Stapleton - Thanks for the advice on the avatar thing. It worked! Also, thanks for the compliment on the "Cole" inspired piece. I agree some of the structures are a bit transparent. I am trying to watch for stuff like that now in my paintings. Thanks for the observation.
Looking good mate, you are on the right track. Keep up with those enviro's they are showing some real promise! Look forward to seeing some new work soon.
Nick
Thanks space-sprayer and you do the same! Have some new stuff in the works as I write this.
Another character concept......

Quick enviro I did the other night. Been a while since I did one!

you are on the right path, i would start with rendering one object first, then once you get comfortable with that, start moving into big scenes like this.
Thanks for the comment.
To kind of clarify something though, the point of this type of enviro sketch or "speed paint", is to imply detail rather than actually paint every little detail and not spend a ton to time on the piece. Ya know, just something to keep the "batteries charged"!
This one (the canyon sketch) was done in just a little over two hours.
Quick 2.5 hour mecha

Here is a little something I did recently with Prismacolor cool grey markers and a tech pen. Having fun doing some good old traditional drawing but man do I need to work on anatomy!

Long time no update! Here is a character concept I started last night. Started with some quick thumbs and just went with one. Let me know if you find one of these interesting.
Still working on anatomy, so I realize there are some issues here so far, but this is far from complete.
