that book cover piece...its like what would be birthed if Bisley and Azpiri got drunk and had a lurvvvfest...
they'd be crazy not to include that in the book!

Wow, I got blown away in here, maybe one day I could reach your level of work. Your character, creativity etc have a real nice richness to it.

I might not be qualified to give this crit but here goes: Allot of your compositions, the Characters and their placing seems to feel crammed, or their placement communicates a deliberate awareness of the view or canvas dimension.

Some of your works and especially some of your more recent stuff have momentarily touched a magic spot where the composition looks accidental and natural with more open space in them etc. I have not noticed this before anywhere, but thinking about it now it might be the way comps are achieved.. Are characters arranged in a space to achieve the rule of thirds, golden mean etc or are the scene made first and then a view finder is used to capture the best comp it can get out of the scene, looking for golden mean, thirds etc. That deliberateness look could be something to avoid.

I saved your monkey and pit bull picture from your first page to disk as inspiration, hope you don't mind. Can't quite figure out why I like that one so much. Perhaps it's the fashion or the color scheme or something. The compo is a little deliberate but it wasn't distracting or it didn't stop me from wanting to save it to disk. Perhaps I am a sucker for clothed chimps or because it has more elements that can be associated with.

There is also the story or drama factor. Some scenes(one or two) have expressions without story or random expression that does not blend somehow or it's purpose also looks like it has awareness of compo where some of those later works you can hear and feel the music in them. God knows weather I would ever even be able to get anything right I just gave here. Hehe!!

Hope that might translate into something usable.

Keep it up, you are inspirational.

Quick comment: WOW! You have an amazing style going on here... it looks so loose and yet the line work is still there! I will have to start staring at your work and trying to visually absorb this. It looks very neat.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!! so good, man, sooo good.
I just adore they way you start adding colors and how the illustration gets richer every time. Your color palette is vibrant and those brush strokes are genius. Thanks so much for sharing, for the kind words on my SB, and keep posting, yes!

    Cheers!

Wow, really nice stuff recently-always a fan. One little crit I have is that sometimes your facial anatomy is a little skewed-something about the far eye falling away to quickly or making too much of an appearence. It's a ballache to get right, but remember that sometimes the nose will hide the far eye, sometimes it may just be case of keeping it consistant with the perspective line of the rest of the face? Anyhoo, don think it's anything a few studies wouldn't solve. Keep up the awsome stuff
