So, im new here, 16 years young

and this i really weird

im used to deviantart everything is structured there

here it just seems so open,

its scary like plank white paper..... or this thing >

anyways this is my first post and my new sketch book!

this is something i started a couple days ago


and a more finished version

after much pissing and moaning i think i may have just found out how to do this stuff

anyways this guy a fighting a robotic scorpion like thing (if you ever seen zoids you might have an a idea of what im talking about) that is controlled by this zombie army.

he is basically super badass, he can control the functions of his brain and force it to hyper compute (much like your brain does when threatened) and make time seem to slow down ,allowing him to do fantastic doges and make fighting as easy as lifting a finger

he also has a sword which i conveniently left out of the design, partially because it hate long straight lines >:C

his cape can harden into a shield like substance (he controls it with his brain waves)

and his gun convert his bioenergy into a bullet like substance that can burn through heavy armor

all in all

the scorpion thing will eventually succumb to his badassness

UPDATE: this is my quick 1 hour sketch of a death eater, been watching HP lately

but i made the mistake of making the file so huge that my computer practically explodes when i try to work on it

Welcome to CA!

There are some things that you have to fix in your character if you are going to finish it.First are the legs and arm,they are not anatomically correct.Look for references if you need,you will learn a lot!
Other thing you have to work on is lighting.Place a source of light to draw light and shadows over the body.Now there is no clear source of light,so your character has no volume at all!

anyway, the warrior (¿?) is looking good.... you shold write a story behind him...

I like your work, man! There seems to have some problems in the arms and legs, but otherwise, I like it.

i had to blow out the candle half way through because the smell was giving me a headache >:C

you gotta size down the images man, its hard to take in the piece as a whole at that size.

Some things, when you paint digitally its better to start with really big brushes and in the areas you are rendering just block in the large areas of value and colour so there is no background colour showing through.

Anyway try to draw every day, do the right studies and enjoy the process. Welcome to CA

Nice study of the oil burner. Keep sketching all the time. You will soon find that you vastly improve and im sure you will find the comments and critiques here much more useful that deviantart. Just get a thick skin and give it all you got

hey dude, thanks for commenting on my SB. Good thing you started a SB here, dont be shy to post everything you draw, thats what a SB is meant to be, not just a gallery with your best stuff, the more you post the more we can help you. On the last one with the candle... i can give you one tip, when you do colors, put them firmly on the surface, now on your pumpkin i still see in manky spots some white of the background because you did not put enough thickness of color.. try to keep your brush at a high % of opacity, and tri to use the biggest brush you can to describe the volume of the object. Keep a smaller brush for the details... post more stuff, cya.

here's some new stuff

this was a lot of fun it seems like i havent done anything digital in forever and this one was a whirlwind i just kind of went with it and two hours passed

interupted many times by a fickle photoshop

it would be considerably more finished if photoshop hadnt decided that you shouldnt see it, then proceeded to crash, again, and again

Hey man, your progressing and getting taught by the best already! However, you probably won't hear this much from anyone and it's at your own discretion you take my advice, but you should sketch more and get the feeling and work out stuff on paper instead of jumping right on to digital ! Your trying to put a lot in the picture, and sometimes it gets muddled, this may be a way to help prevent that. Anyway, whatever you do, draw draw draw! this page is half talk !
