DEEP: Undersea Utopia - Information Thread

DEEP: Undersea Utopia is a cohesive challenge between the 5 Community Activities.

Starting May 15th, 2008, and running until 11:59 pm on June 30th, 2008, all the weekly contests will be combined and unified under one topic, "DEEP: Undersea Utopia". The topic was specifically chosen to be very open ended so that the community itself has the chance to create an epic world.

Creature of the week
Character of the week
Environment of the week
Industrial design of the week
Panels of the week

Judging
Judging will be based on the principles of Overall Contribution, Quality, & Idea Development.

Poll'd Prizes
Each Community Activity will have it's own poll.
1st Place winners in each poll will have their choice of a conceptart.org download and a CA/MB Workshop admission ticket to any workshop of their choice! (the New Zealand workshop is coming up this fall btw...)
2nd place in each poll will get - 5 conceptart.org downloads (winners choice)
3rd place in each poll will get - 1 conceptart.org download (winners choice)
- all winners recieve a full copy of CORTEX COMMAND BY DATAREALMS. Art in this game was done by CA resident Prometheus|anj!

Aside from the polls, there are going to be two Judged Prizes; Grand, and a runner up.

You do ONE image in only one of the Challenge areas, you're dead. I have a shovel and I will bury you.

If you do ONE image/presentation in all five of the Challenge areas to their particular rules, you rise to the level of Pussy. Can you live with that?

If you turn in five ideas in all five challenges, you just might be close to being considered a serious participant, and the same if you turn in 20-50 images in two or three of the Challenges.

That about cover it?
