You've definitely got something going there; for a first post this is actually pretty good! What I'd say you need to practice most is anatomy and lighting, the latter being somwhat off in your last painting. Though if you keep up that two-sketches-a-day plan you should get a solid grip of both soon.

Another suggestion: if you already haven't cashed out 20 bucks on that book of yours, don't just yet! There are lots of great art books that no longer have copyright and are thus downloadable for free legally. This thread and this one have excellent lists; the first even has download links!

Nice start, i'd try posing your characters a little more tho', they're all very stiff-backed/upright so far. People do bend.

    Hi xenoxr,

Thanks for dropping by my sketchbook.
Great stuff from imagination, keep it up! I would suggest you started drawing from life every day. Start with fruits and random objects around the house. Also take up on anatomy. There's plenty of do on those and they will help you greatly!

Good start, I would suggest checking out some Andrew Loomis figure drawing books, here's a link to some free ones you can download -

You got some cool looking characters - Keep working, your last sketch is looking interesting!

    hey dude!
yeah long way ahed.. but you're already get better!
my suggestion is, get yourself a good anatomy book and study every day some of those, than look at some photos in magazines (or alike) and THAN draw from life as much as you can (use yourself as a model)!

as for the paintings... try to use different lightsources in more than just one colours and even than things in real life are never based on only one colour, but of many differend ones! so try to mix them
    hope this helps a bit

have a nice day and keep up the practice
