    Where can I get eyeballs?

The local hobby shop sells beads in a few sizes, but they all have holes through the center....

What's a good source for beads or ball bearings in MANY sizes for eyeballs?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP, IF YOU HAVE THE TIME!!!

I do know that some craft store sell glass marbles in different sizes and color. If you are looking for realistic glass eyes, taxidermy supply stores sells them.

I'm looking for a wider range of sizes than I can get with just marbles. They needn't be realistic, as is for a taxidermist. They just need to be round and not have holes in them!

Don't about stores where you are but most hardware stores have a section where small parts, including various sizes of ball bearings, are sold from little bins.

I make my own with sculpey, liquid sculpey, pearlex powders and ink. It's a long process to make realistic ones, so I make a bunch at once.

If I'm doing creatures that don't need realistic human eyes I use pearls, you can usually find some dyed pearls in the bead section of the craft store or a bead store. They have very small holes that can be hidden inside the eye socket. I like using them because they are cheap and have a nice luster.

Here's a picture of my current project, I used green freshwater pearls for his eyes:

I hadn't thought of plastic--I was focused on glass and metal. I get so darn one-dimensional it's a wonder I can walk and breathe at the same time.

Plastics should hold up fine at temps under 200°.

    Thanks.
