I love black and white inked comics, and lately I've been trying to figure out how to do out that style myself. I did this piece over two days, and while I was trying to go for a real gritty black and white bar scene, it still feels..unfinished. I'm not sure what it is, but it just seems to be missing something, or not gritty enough, or the black and white mix is wrong, or the composition looks wrong...something needs fixing but I don’t know what.
SO! Here's my WIP so far. I'm open to any suggestions on what to improved before I say game over and call it done since it's probably full of noobie mistakes I can't see, so any suggestions would be very much appreciated

Reason: Just made a small fix to the pic
"You’re right you DO suck, now do something about it"
The proportions seem off to me too, his left arm is too skinny and the glass is too small.
I can see what you were trying to do with the blinds but the cracks on the far right make it look like the room is a strange shape. Try spreading them out a bit or just having the holes in the blinds.
The lighting is obviously coming from a light above him but it might be cool to change it so that light is off and there's only light from the window in the picture. Then again, i suck at lighting and shading so don't go and ruin the picture because of me.
I like the textures on the table and the seat and the character's pretty well drawn keep it up!
