program to build a 3D structure, like Google Sketchup

I need to build a project in 3D,for a metal structure. i have downloaded Google SketchUp but am looking for something better.
Do have experienced a better one?

try wings3d (http://www.wings3d.com).. its free, fairly easy to use and very powerful.

If your just going to model, use Wings. It can't do anything else (well, you could texture in it, but only if you don't like yourself very much), but it's good at what it does.
