Pen preasure no longer active

Hi everyone,
I have a problem with my photoshop CS3. At first the pen preasure work but now after I change the brush setting. I can't use pen preasure anymore. And the brush picture( I choose brush stroke), it didnt look like the first time I used it (gradation in both side of the brush stroke). I tried to set pen preasure in opacity and size. I once read that photoshop setting can be set to default by deleting a file because the file always created at first when it doesn't exist. Thanks for your help.

And a few hours after posting in CA, suddenly my photoshop works just fine. Making me more confused. Anyone knows why??

It sometimes happens to me if I opened the program without the tab. Or sometimes if I plug it in too immediately while the program is starting. Also Wacom drivers sometimes turn themselves off for no reason, forcing you to restart the computer to get them back. But that usually comes up with a box nagging you to do so.

I wouldn't worry about it unless you keep having issues. But for future information, these other people have had problems also. There's also a known glitch:

When that happens to me I just restart PS.
It usually happens when I Alt Tab (on PC) out of PS or when another program is running in the background (like a MP3 player or Firefox).
