Very nice stuff Dangerous. I'm interested in the class - I'm already signed up for Nathan's mon night class, so it would be a nice compliment.

hey, Brendan, not bad! have you studied with Glenn Vilppu before? Your figures are reminiscent of his.

mmm... I guess they still haven't updated the supply list so I'll post it here:

1)Drawing board (large enough for 18 x 24 drawing pad)
2)18 x 24 sketch paper (Canson Biggie Sketch pad or similar)
3)Pencils- may use any from list:
    - Derwent Drawing Pencil (ivory black 6700 or Terracotta 6400 or Venetian Red 6300)
    - Faber-Castell Polychromos (Schwartz, Black 9201-199)
    - Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth GIOCONDA pencil (Red Chalk 8802 or Negro 8815/1)
    - General pencil co. Kimberly pencil 525 9XXB
    4)Single-edged razor blades
    5)Kneaded eraser
6)Sketchbook (for taking notes and sketching)

If you have conte and smooth newsprint that's ok to use in place of the bond paper and pencils I've listed.

INCREDIBLE work! I love how smoothly and gracefully you can render. This inspires me to want to bust out the grey paper and prismacolors...

nice drawings..they have volume, line, anatomy, ..but one thing they lack..strong form and sensitivity to value..i think a goo visit to the museum will help ,a deeper study for the softness of light can only be learnt from those white greek or academic sculptures..that will put a lot more refinement to your already strong drawings..
my new site, is crazy stuff but is my own space, I can say whatever!! hehe:

Good God I love your drawings!

There is a quality of line - eve in the hatching - that i have not been able to figure out. loosenes and still control over the line width and placement.
    I am impressed.

I live way down south in Alabama and I have been saving up for my next big art workshop adventure,
    LA huh... LAAFA...
Do y'all do any more condensed workshops, I don't think my job would let me loose for 10 weeks.

If you get a moment, please have a look/crit at my sketchbook
    thanks,

Life is far from boring. I actually switched away from "using my imagination" because i find more beauty and inspiration in life then anywhere else. The rhythms of the shapes and muscles on the figure and the the intricate ways the muscles on the face can change so slightly and convey an entirely different expression are amazing. I am sure I am not the only one who thinks this way.

sorry to digress. Dangerousllama, your drawings are beautiful. thank you.
