Ok. 3 months after writing the message above, I finally know how to post images!!! YEAAH
This one was the first drawing i made on photoshop. I didnt even knew the tools to use. It was only made with the mouse
Some advice would be realy helpful. Thanks for comment and sorry about the bad english.
these ones are made with no reference.
I think I can see some progress.
Hope you comment
Hey I just started this drawing that I hope, heps me with human figure when I'm not using reference.
I'll try to post another update tonigt.

Here is the continuation and an other sketch I've done today

here is the final. Took me about 2h15m.
Still got a lot of problems in shading

I've been drawing some stuff but not very relevant to post here.
So I'll just post this non referenced nude I did today and a very very objective one that is referenced. It is realy in the begining but it has already take me 4 hour and it is milimetricaly objective. I'm allways comparing with the original putting the paper in front of the monitor.

VERY nice beginning here.
It's great to see how quickly you're learning.
I'd see a study for something like a face in a post, and every face after that, improved, showing that you learned a lot from that previous study.
Know that your time is not wasted!
Keep going, you're doing great.![]()

OOOOOHOOHOHO MY FIRST COMMENT XD
thanks a lot. that is very very apreciated.
I'm not sure if I correctly understood what you said about the faces but I'll probabily be posting some daily self-portraits and some faces that I've been drawing on the bus when I feel confortable with the human body.
thank you very much again.
Hey! Thanks for your good reply in my sketchbook.
I'm really happy to see that you're making great progress here when I look at your first post and your last.
I especially like your skeletal studies which show really appealing linework.
I also think that your nude female study is really good as well.
But when you construct your figure I see that you're mostly working from the contour. It's probably about personal preference, but I try to think more about the form than the contour. I think it's easier to understand where everything is in space. Also it's a really good idea to make a loose gesture sketch before you start blocking out the contour. I see that you haven't really made that in the wip with the guy with the gun, or maybe it got lost in the scanning. If you make a loose (not fast and sloppy just lightly drawn) gesture before you start dealing with the contour and the forms I think you'll have an easier way of applying what you see to the paper.
Maybe I'm ranting but this kind of process helped me out a lot!
Keep up the great progress!
Hey thanks a lot man. I've been noticing that I mostly work from the contour but I've been trying to change that as I study the lightning of the body. That tip is very helpfull and I allready been using it but the wip of the guy with the gun is a very objective thing, so I'm just starting by doing the measures and the general inclinations, and then I'll go on to more particular stuff
Here is the continuation... it's almost done.
After finished, I'll paint it digitaly

I haven't been able to draw much as I wanted but here's the start of the painting.
it's kind a messy. any help you can give??
Here's the continuation after some more hours of work. There are still many to come though.
(something tells me that didn't sound like english)
Edit: Could someone please tell me why the f**k my sketchbook doesn't get a second page by himself?? Because there are a lot of images on this page yet, and it takes too long to load them when you open the page.
hey a tua mae, thanks for stopping by my sketchbook. Your photo study is looking good so far. Only thing I'd be concerned about is getting too involved in the details before everything is blocked in. Work from big to small, details. That seems to help me anyways. Keep it up!
hey thanks a lot man, I've been noticing that when im drawing at photoshop and that's a process i should really give more atention.
here's the continuation, I've been drawing other stuff but not relevant enaught

hey there. I quit the man's body study because I thaught it was giving me not much help as I need.
I've been trying to draw with no ref but seems like it's not working out. I'll continue to do some real studies.
By the way Is anyone intrested in having a group sketchbook with me?? I've seen it around here and I think that easy-going competition can be really helpful to both members (2 or more)
hopefuly whaiting for answers
Anyway, here is some ridiculous stuff I've been doing.

That's an awesome self-portrait, very realistic. Man, all I have to say is that you just have to keep the momentum going. You're showing mountains of improvement over a relatively short period of time. Keep going!!
Also, when are you gonna finish painting that dude (in his underwear) with the gun?

Thanks a lot man, that is very apreciated. The dude with the gun, I'll be continuing it in some months from now to to see what was my progression then.
Ok. Finished the self portrait so I'll try to not be original, putting it as my avatar

supsup A tua mãe, thanks for stopping by SB...i'm digging your ref digital paints, the self portrait is awesome nice job
only crit i might have is line drawings could use a little bit more variations in line width and when u render forms out with a pencil don't be afraid to laid down value, not so hard you damage the paper, rather build it up and then work the reverse sculpt form by taking kneaded eraser and subtracting
keep up the great work, looking forward to more of your ref paint (hehe wish i had the patience to do ref'd studies)
