    Hi Erik Wilson.

Thank you very much for the info. Sounds convenient for sure. Are you able detach the stand and use it on your lap(not sure if I even wanted to just curious). Does the stand allow it to be set up like the 21UX?
It would be absolutely awesome if you had time to snap and post a few pics.

What's your computer setup for it? Mac/PC, laptop/desktop, RAM etc.?

Does anyone have ay experience using 21US or 20wsx on macbookpro? What are the things which affect on the "lag" of the cursor?

It would be absolutely awesome if you had time to snap and post a few pics.

Thanks a lot Erik very much appreciated!

Higher contrast ratio means that, there are more gradations between full black and full white.

Hope that helps. (edit: ack, realised it's been posted few months ago..)
    Privet Pavel!

Then I am not sure what the poster meant when he compared the 20 and the 21, the 21 has 0.27 pixel pitch while the 20 has 0.25.

I ended up getting the 21x btw, still haven't gotten my 500 $ rebate, I am not sure what is going on with that.
Overall I am really happy with this beast, but it has some really frustrating problems.

1 purple pixel, one pixel that turns black on certain occasions, and one pixel sized piece of dirt stuck under the screen (how is that even possible? )

also there appear to be scratches all over the place when i turn off the cintiq, and that is lame because there is no way i scratched it. How could it have happaned anyway? Yes, i wore a watch the first few times, but it was on my left hand, i didnt rub it on the screen

Here's the tablet on my desk - the Mac tower off to the side is an old pre-Intel dual 2Ghz G5 with a 128 MB video card and 4 GB or ram:

and the single cable coming out of the back, housing the USB, power, and video cables:

I guess theoretically you could put it on your lap if the cable didn't bug you. It is about 16 pounds though, and it is an LCD monitor. So it gets warm.

The stand lets you adjust it up or down and you can rotate the display left or right .

Thanks a lot Erik for seeing the effort and taking the photos for me. I think that settles it and I'm going for the 20wsx.

Here's what Apple's been planning on for a while:

Though I wouldn't get your hopes up of how soon it will arrive and how well it would work for using it as a tablet. Resource from http://macrumors.com

Here's also another thing that's already out:

hey Pavel, maybe this will help you understand.

btw. the 12wx has dot pitch of 0.204 which really helps since the screen is so small. its' super sharp.

I am looking to make a purchase of one of these but I am not sure which one to get, seems like the 20 is a bit better with the wide screen and the more buttons. Do you guys have a consensus on this debate?

Yeah. I'm also trying to decide between the 12 or the 20. He's right that DOES make sense...the bigger the better. But I think it'd be awesome to do draw digitally outside in some woods and out in nature. I mean it can't get much better than bein around nature, drawing with light. So how the heck are you supposed to lug around this beast of a 20" machine? I would really enjoy some portability but I've heard so many cons about the 12wx that it's kinda hard to decide...ya know? .........so there's my dilema among the crowd......

    Question 21UX or 20WSX

Alright I am looking to purchase either a 21UX or 20WSX I really am leaning on the 20WSX only because of response time is 14ms compared to the 21 being 20ms. Do you think this is a big problem? Like, when I'm drawing etc, will the line being drawn be delayed a lot more than the 20WSX?

Also I really like though how the 21UX has the same resolution as my laptop screen.

Also, for the express keys, do you really find yourself using the additional buttons for the 20WSX or is the ones on the 21UX suffice?

I am going to be purchasing one of these within a week.

The 20WSX and 21UX are both priced at $2000

If I remember correctly, the 12 is not intended for prolonged, professional use...it's more like a casual tool for dabblers, as it's not properly shielded from magnetism of other electronic devices or something to that effect. On the other hand, someone else said the 12 is fantastic for casual sketching, i.e. you can carry around easily enough, lay it flat on a table, spin it around like you would a pad of paper, etc.

Anyway, assuming you intend to do fulltime graphics work on your cintiq, I'd recommend the 21 first and foremost... most bang for you buck it seems. And if you've got some extra cash to burn afterwards, also get the 12 as a more portable, lightweight solution (should be able to carry it around with a laptop easily enough and set up to sketch in a coffee shop for example) Either way, double check on what I've said because this info is just from memory
I disagree with whomever said that. I've been using the 12wx at my work (as well as a 21ux) and the 12wx is actually pretty nice. I like it because it keeps me working zoomed out which in my opinion is better. Though obviously if you need to zoom in on the 12wx, that works alright too. It's nice because you can lean back in your chair and put it in your lap and it doesn't get too hot, and i feel like i can get a bit more comfortable while i draw with the 12.

Anyway, i just recently got my 12er and have heard the same rumor about it being not properly shielded from magnetism or whatever and i don't really notice it. Maybe they fixed it or something but the edge detection is fine and it's easy to work with and most of all is lightweight which is a nice change from the 21ux which they claim you can take off it's mount and put in your lap but i have yet to have a desire to put a 25lb hunk of hot plastic and metal in my lap so i can be more comfortable. The 21 has its uses definately but in my opinion the 12wx isn't a bad choice at all either. it's a really nice piece of equipment in my opinion.

you sure you didn't got a display model or something? Where did you buy it? I'd get a replacement if I'd where you.
