Hello, most excellent people. I'm 17, and I've begun to consider where I'd like to go to school. I plan to study illustration.
Currently checking out MICA, RISD, Pratt, Parsons & Cooper.
In the meantime, let's get some imagey goodness happening.

Thought I'd throw in non-colored sketch for No. 1, above.![]()
Aw, no replies
Well, here's some more. A quick sketch. Any crits, don't hesitate.
You are doing some pretty interesting stuff here , cant crit you tho because you seem to be more skilled than me.I realy like your pencil work You should post some random sketches too.
And dont worry for the replys do the sketchbook for yourself and for fun.And people will probably like this and start posting in yours sb.
I like the colors in the second post and your stile.
I think you should practise anatomy, the girl in your last post looks stif. And it seems her legs don's belong to her body..
Thank you very much ohomoho! Really, you're work is great, so it means a lot to me.
skorpi, I agree completely. It was quite an exercise in rendering and I got completely lost. Her legs are ridiculous!
Here are some random pages. Left, pencil and thin marker; right, ball-point. Cheers![]()
really cool sb,I really really like that old water colour.
I want to see more though, interesting stuff.
Cool sketchbook, I really like the pen drawings, sorry no crits from me!![]()

The Curehead - huge thanks! That one was a nightmare to draw
amordecosmos - thanks so much!
Here's a crappy sp in ball-point. Also a random sketch![]()
I really dig the drawing with blue background. The distorted proportions are cool.
The self portrait reminds me a bit of Schiele. Good stuff!
Nice stuff man really creative can't wait to see more.
The last on with the girl just has a nice feel to it
Flaskpost - thanks so much! I'm really glad to hear the distortion works as I was unsure about it. There's a thin line between getting it right and pushing it too far. Funny I've been compared to Schiele before!
lilnebo - thank you very much!
I'll throw in one more for todayCheers!
Seems like you're developing a really nice style. Very illustrative. I like it![]()
Thanks pantless, that's the best thing for a prospective illustration student to hear![]()

Ballpoint![]()
SHEESHBALLS! Your style blows my mind. It works so well. I love how you completely stylize everything. It's fun to see things through YOUR eyes
My favorite is post #15.
Can't thank you enough, Dave! THANKS!
A few pages: who doesn't like pirates? I think I spelt ventriloquist wrong.
It annoyed me how all the details in this one got lost. This might help.
This computer coloring thing is hard.
Just a wip. C&c would be super handy.

The different and interesting poses in this sketchbook makes for great entertainment. I'll definitely be back.
Thanks for checking out my sb.
You've got abounding artistic strength;
keep it going (I really like your last post!)

Ex Nihilo and Slechtvalk, thanks a million.
A little something I was playing with last night:
Man, this is a really strong book right off the start. How did you color that first piece? I really love your characters. At first I hated the odd perspectives and distorted poses, but now I like them. Keep posting.
Hahaha, thanks snubbed - glad they came around for you
I've got to run at the moment but I'll work up a process shot later!!![]()
