Spartan Camp #39 - 50 gestures + Optional Study of "Leather"

The aim is to produce 50 gestures by Sunday the 6th of April.

The gestures can be of anything, human, animal, cavorting capybaras....and can be in any media, digital or traditional is fine.

In addition to this, participants can choose to do a Optional Study of "Leather", in any media. Black and White or Colour is fine.

Come on soldiers! Flex those muscles!!

PS...critting each other is highly encouraged!! Let's help each other get better!

same goes for me.

I'm trying to do 10 per day. that way i don't need to stress it when the deadline comes. still tough with all the work.

Hey guys,

Just got back from a field trip this week and haven't had much time for drawing yet. I'll probably be uploading mine tomorrow or later.

Already started on em, but I'm kinda rusty too somehow.
Nice to see more of these clothing/fabric studies. Looking forward to it!

Good going MeTaL-Mike and Racasdorph. Will add some crits later on.

MeTaL-Mike; Almost only girls this time! Keep going for those 3/4 views and such. I'm trying not to get stuck on the "easy" front and side shots too. There's a few crazy angles too, like the one kneeling, seen from above. Loving your optional, damn good. Collar seems a bit high in the back, but I don't know your ref. Is it hung to a wall or worn?
Racasdorph; Welcome! Nice to see you joining in. You're doing a good job 'building up' the body with those help lines and such. Try to adapt a more 'loose' style. You seem to be drawing little strokes each time, moving from body part to body part. Try to picture the body as a whole, and sketch a bit, then use fluent lines to finish the pose. Don't worry about doing 30, nice to have you here. Good dedication either way!

Here's my 50. Late, but I need the practice anyways. Did these on a timer to speed up a bit too.

Racasdorph; Nono, helper lines are perfectly fine, I'd encourage using those. I use them too.
I ment that in your drawings, there are many small strokes right next to eachother, whereas you could do with one. The lines seem a bit 'insecure' and scribbly.
You're doing a good job, keep it up.
