These are some drawings I've done recently. I'm a noob to this forum but don't be afraid to critique me. Also check out my website at jonlamart.com and my blog (which is also new) jonlamart.blogspot.com

Cool , sketches . I stood a min or so watching the first one , trying , to really se what it represents, its really cool ... reminds me of those comic's of frank miller ,like "Hard Boiled" were there are lots of small objects everywhere , really minutious.

Welcome Jonny Boy, I'm really happy that i've stumbled upon your book! Love the loose style equipped with some pop elements. I'm really fascinated by the gray and sepia toned artwork featuring the bot and some organic matter. Love how some of the elements are vague and in shadow while the focal points are clearly defined. Keep this up, I'll keep reading
    Sketchbook!! Please help me improve!

Nice style. I'd be cool to see what you could do by flooding some of your stuff with even more fine details. What's your major in school if you don't mind me asking?

I'm interested in seeing the short story when it's done. Your work shows a lot of practice and skill. Nicely done.

I second Akildee's comment. Put a little bit more texture or finer details into the works to give them that finished feeling and visual interest.

    Can't wait to see more.

i love the attitude and personality in the pic with the little boy surrounded by floaty papers. That thing is being saved straight to my potential wallpapers folder . My favourite here is the girl with the gun with a yellow background though. If i saw that on the front of a comic or artbook i'd have to pick it up to have a peek.

I dont really like the darker works- they are rather muddy, which makes them a bit..blah to look at, certainly in comparison to the more vibrant work. The more graphic works stand out to me a LOT more- its hard to seperate personal taste from non-biased observation here, im a big fan of graphic styles- but it does look like you had more fun making the graphic works than the muddier stuff, they have a special energy about them which isnt there so much in the darker images.
