Been working this character out for a minute now. Haven't decided on what to do for the base yet, here are the WIPs so far.

I find her arms to be really thin when compared to the rest of her stature, especialy her boobs

Sadly i have to agree with Pavel. The sculpt looks great and the detail is amazing, it´s just that the right arm/chest area looks wrong. It´s like the boob/pectoralis doesn´t connect to the shoulder area.

Awesome piece. I totally dig it and the motion you have going on.

I would fix the arm as others have suggested.

How did you make the whip without it cracking/breaking/just plain being a pain in the arse? did you use something like a thick wire inside it and wrap it in clay or epoxy?

    cheers!

Nice work. She is a little knock-kneed and pigeon-toed from some angles, and her breasts definitely look like implants.

Thanks guys. The whip was a pain in the ass at first, but then I just looked at it from the most simplistic POV. CUt a piece of wire and straighten it out as much as possible. Then proceed to roll it in clay, getting thinner near the tip. Roll it in desired texture, then clip the clay off both ends, leaving a bit of wire exposed. Then simply grip both ends with your hands or pliers and coil it into desired position, No touch-ups necessary, no bunching or binding, just a clean curve. Hope this helps.

And Elwell, What's wrong with implants?

I wasn't intending implants, but I was going for was incredibly large boobs without going all Heavy Metal. I toyed with adding mass to her arms, but as soon as I looked at it I knew I would get jaw-jack about her having "Man-arms"

    Thanks Prophet.

As to her arm, its not the arm that is thin, its the shoulders. you could solve the problem by building up the right shoulder pad thing a bit.

that said, it is still very cool.

Wow great sculpt. You certaintly should be sculpting for a living.

The clay surface seems so smooth it's shinny.
Did you treat it with something?

nice lighting, nice pose, and her stare is great. I only wish that you would have taken peoples advice on the arms and breast becasue this coud have been 50% more successful if you had done so. Well there is always the next composition right.

I enjoy the final paint a lot! for some reason i expected the clothing to be orange or red. i cant explain why, i was almost sure of it.
now that i think about it, I would of prefered a livelier colour then grey/black.

but to refer to Roberts last comment, I think the thinnes of the arms can still be slavaged. It's possible to sow clothing for her arms with real material and stuff it with something. it will be kind of weitrd having real clothing on the arms and sculpted everywhere else, but i seriously think it must be attempted.

nothing to loose, you can just take it off if u dont like it, but a lot to gain. think about it.

Thanks for the comments guys. I know the arm isn't perfect, but there's only so much toiling I can do over one non-profit piece. If this were a kit, I would have gone out of my way for perfection, but with maquette's, not so much, I just wanna get the idea out of my head. It just went almost entirely unnoticed this time, originally her arm was cocked out and back, holding a large Out-of-character sword in the opposite hand, I think when I shifted it inwards, I just didn't bother to shift the mass back. However like I said, since it's a personal piece, I'll just sharpen my chops on the next dame I sculpt..

Pavel, I understand what you were saying about the color of her suit, a lot of folks assumed this character was some form of punk or pirate. She is in fact a sort of Fantasy-World Mafia member, so hopefully you can understand why I went with a deep grey suit instead of an orange one.

Thanks for the comments so far guys

She looks great painted. I like the dark color theme and the color streaks in her hair. She's one tough lady.

I know its late in the day to crit, but its not the boobs that are huge, its her actual chest cavity thats really thick/large in mass; which excentuates the fake breasti-ness.....

IMO - I do think you could have fiddled with the bare arm, and given her some strength there- regardless of it being a non-profit piece. You should aim for perfection anyways, as this IS a fantastic piece You could have given it more justice...Its the little bits that do make a difference, and you should push yourself more.

Sorry if this is harsh in any way....
