Lioration gets my voteI like the fact you didn't use horns (probably the most obvious defining feature of a rhino) and still managed to get a good mix between the two creatures...

Lioration: Wow, the color, the comp, the simplicity. Everything came together to make a really nice image. Bravo. I would have given you my vote, but I thought the horns were really important to add when mixing the two creatures.
Tobba:Every time I look at yours I keep thinking Yorkshire Terrier.
Joex: Nice color, great Texture. The pose/legs seemed a little odd to me, but you still got my vote,
Sundance: Really cute image, though it almost has a Doxen/Armadillo feel to it.
Troubadour: Nice texture and great color, but the cricket kinda threw me off. The spine seems a little too drooped to one side kind of like he's a hunchback. The body looks like it's twisting while the legs are planted. I think that throws off the view a little. Still a great image though,
Auzreflame: I think you may have some of the same anatomy problems that I do. We really aren't sure where to put things sometimes. Just do what I've been doing and study the carp out of skeletal structures and muscle mass.
yeah, I rushed my entry. I knew I should of looked up some more rhino references and put some more time into the legs on my concept.
The next one I do, I'll put a little more effort into it.
I voted for Lioration...I really like the character/life he put into his creation!
some interesting and good submissions over all!![]()
I use to be on the outside looking in. Now I'm on the inside looking outside...
Thanks Cupidsart
I agree, the hind legs are supposed to be up in the air, or something to that variation. I should have worked the pose a little more than i obviously had
the cricket? eh i suppose i wanted to give him something to look at lol and did that last minute :B
Lioration: I love it. Really. You know it is a rhyno even though you don't see the horns. I like the colors, the composition. I don't like much of the fur effect overall, but it gets the idea across. You won my vote :]
Tobba: I can't say I like it much. I think more of a dog (like those little dogs that look as if they had mustaches and beard) than a wombat or a rhyno.
Joex: It looks cool. What bothers me is that I can't tell if its rhyno skin or wombat fur in some spots, and his second horn (the one between his eyes) looks out of place. I like it, but Lioration just killed me.
Cupidsart: Its amazing. This one almost got my vote. The fur is awesome. The reason I didn't vote for this one is cause it doesn't ring too much to rhyno.
Sundance: I find this picture funny, and I don't know why. Maybe its the look in its face. He's all pimpy. I like it, its really cool.
Troubadour: The first thing I thought was "Disney, Lion King, Simba". Man I had a troubled childhood. It looks like a baby playing with some other animal in the wild. Pretty neat.
Auzreflame: I don't really like the colors, they look plain. Also the sudden changes form gray to brown fur blows me away...
Well we have ourselves a winner:
