Lovely designs and water colors, keep experimenting.
Theres this really good series on constructing the head from any angle: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL39135B8D190B7C97
might help with proportions..going to do more of those myself :o

I see your using white backgrounds for your characters, you got some nice occlusion shadows and
to get some more depth look at how people like wesburt use the white background as a light source on the character to make em pop. if that made any sense.

I like #181 and about the latest post; the right arm is really good but the left one could be a bit more "buckled" (sorry I cant express my self correct ^^°)

Twelvex: man thanks a lot - yes you are totally right - the left arm is not a good one - thanks for pointing that out!

so here are some sketchbookpages really sketchy, mostly from imaginations just the guy in the sweater and the hands are from reference
    critique is always welcome!

Nice updates dude, your sketches looks great, love the guy with his arms in different poses, and all the hands.

When you're doing those city sketches, remember the vertical convergence depends on whether the viewer is looking up or down. The same rules apply to vertical sets of parallel lines as to horizontal ones. If they're not parallel to the picture plane, they're converging to a vanishing point.

The picture plane is perpendicular to your direction of vision, so if you stand at street level and look straight ahead - no vertical convergence.

If you stand at street level and look up, those vertical lines in the buildings are no longer parallel to the picture plane, so they converge to a vp.

If you're up high looking down, the vertical parallel lines converge in the other direction. If you're up high and looking straight ahead, vertical lines are parallel to the picture plane again - no convergence.

    I suck at explaining this:

I lol'ed the phrase ''Mut zur Hässlichkeit" nice sketch, but the hands look a little bit weird like there were no bones, curves, i think
    the lines are to straight

I like those greyscale city comps! I also really like the style on that character study from ref. Your WIP has some nice stuff going with the colours, but you might want to rethink your composition a little. It's a bit scattered, and right now the area of highest interest is the upper left corner. The contrast of the sword keeps the little guy at the bottom from getting lost completely, and the one long vine does help lead the eye to him, but there's something about his position relative to the bottom of the page that feels really awkward. The perspective also feels a little awkward - the horizon line feels like it's around the middle of sword guy at the moment, so I think seeing the undersides of things would be much more exaggerated by the top of the picture. (Wish I could offer more useful crit, but I'm weak enough at both composition and perspective that I don't want to send you in the wrong direction...)

These figure studies are filled with motions and life. Very Constructivist in your approach.

Hey man, I really like your portrait on the first page. As for the colour portraits, Try going slower. At this point, I don't think that speed is as important as how accurate you are, and how much you're learning.
