Thanks for these, they're reminiscent of Kevin Chen's demos. Who's the class with?

    Hi,
Kevin is a good friend of my,matter of fact we are currently working in the same studio in city of Pasadena.
we both learn under the inference of Steve Huston, focusing on 3D stucture, gesture and rhythm on figures.
Actually it was him who suggested me to pose my demo n lecture up on this site,I'll put up diffenrent topic of the lecture each week, hope they will help

I like these drawings very much! Although I especially like them in the initial unfinished stages - the marks are more powerful in that they are suggestive of form, air, movement and space (i.e. they offer the opportunity to the viewer to visually converse with the image, whereas the more finished marks are much more dictatorial), and more confident that the more finished marks.

I hate Photobucket. I hope to see your blog soon, it would be nice to see these images hosted without the worry of censorship, which incidentally makes a strong argument for uploading them directly to CA rather than linking them in. Thank you for posting your demos they are insightful and educational.

Very nice figure diagrams indeed Charles. I hope you will find this link helpful regarding the position of the highlight and a few other things about your sphere, though:

    Charles-

    Very nice figure work, beautiful!.....
and thanks for posting those drawings,
they're instructive, and great refresher material
even to those of us who've been doing this for a while.

I see Dam McCaw is one of your studio mates....
my dad and I are good friends with his brother in law,
Steve Selzer, and his wife Carol.

Good luck in your new studio venture.
