whoa i just gotta tell ya again: your moleys are so damn awesome! - probably the best moleskine art i've ever seen! love your brushwork! the latest update rocks as well!!!
love a creative sketchbook (a physical o ne i mean)
Thanks for all the positive feedback. Here's my most recent sketchbook page:
The dude is ball point pen and watercolor, drawn from life. The nekkid lady is watercolor and colored pencil and was taken drawn form a photo on characterdesigns.com
Great paintings. I love the way you play with colors!
..
I promise to draw every day, and try to post everyday!(Changed)
Being inspired by some of you guys,
and thus decided to pick up my pencil everyday!
I'll post any junk I make, in hopes of getting much
constructive criticism and LEARN! (:
Sketchbook!
Old Sketchbook Full of fear, I believe.
Thanks Chompo!
Here's a few more pages from the past week or so:
Acrylic paint, some different markers and home made zip-atone!
These are all acrylic paint.
Peace, out y'all!!
Like those last two spreads, good design or composition or whatchamallacallit on 'em. Resonating stuff, ya know? And the paint job is nice, especially on the left page of the second spread. The page with the ink work takes the cake for me, always had a thing for strong b&w's.
Thanks Walnut!
Here's a study (bad copy) of a Milton Caniff drawing. The original was black and white. I added some wash for fun!
India ink with watercolor.
... and here's another sketchbook page:
Acrylic paint, India Ink, and collage.
hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngh awesome color coordination

If you ever printed your moleskine I'd buy one. Your charecterdesigns lady is gorgeous.
Looking beautiful, man! I haven't had enough time to watercolour as much as I'd like... Gotta correct that!
These spreads are looking fantastic as always.

IanE: Thanks! I know how you feel. I've been working so hard the last few months, I haven't been able to paint as much as I'd like to either.
Max Challie: Thanks! I found your post very useful for my big fat ego!
TheGnoll: Thanks!

Clochette: Thanks! Those paintings on your blog look awesome by the way! I'm working on a comic right now! It looks like it'll be done sometime in 2010 (yeash!) but I might be able to start posting some sneak peeks this summer. We'll see how things go.
I did this last night. The model had this funny antler headband thing. I excluded the headband part because always look better as hybrid monsters.
Damn. You're driving me crazy. Every page in your sketchbook is a mini masterpiece. Thanks so much for posting everything.

Every once in a while, I get the idea that I need to put together an Editorial illustration portfolio. Here are acouple of examples.
This one is about city councils considering raising the water rates to encourage conservation. Finished it last night. Brush and ink and then colored in Photoshop.
This is about speaking what's in your heart. Did this one a while ago. Brush and ink with a watercolor wash.

If I were a woman I would say have my babies now! but Im not sooo I wont, I will say however great work dude.
The "speaking what's in your heart" one is perfect, probably the only way to do that topic properly. As always, great work. You should do up an editorial cartoon portfolio, it'ld probably get you some good work. Cheers!
